Your reply doesn't address the post you replied to.California is maturing into a high-skill, knowledge-economy state rather than a rapid-growth frontier state. That creates a high standard of living and a high cost of living. Most of those leaving are cashing out on their home equity retirees, not productive workers. California economy continues to be the envy of the world.
