State Indicator That MAGA Governing Is A Failure: State Results From Unanimous Consensus

California is maturing into a high-skill, knowledge-economy state rather than a rapid-growth frontier state. That creates a high standard of living and a high cost of living. Most of those leaving are cashing out on their home equity retirees, not productive workers. California economy continues to be the envy of the world.

"California, 18 billion dollar deficit and residents fleeing the state in record numbers."

AI seems to be saying that if you are not part of the robust CA economy, its better to flee to greener pastures.

AI also agrees with you that CA has a remarkable economy, passing out Japan.

Young rich people are fleeing California

Genius. Those are raw numbers not rates and California has more of them than any other state and a high concentration of young high earners compared to other states.
  • The statistic you quoted was that California saw a net decline of a whole whopping 3,200 young households earning $200,000+ in 2022.
  • Compared to ~2.5 million high-earning households statewide, that represents about 0.1–0.13% of the $200K+ population for the state as a whole.

Regardless that was in 2022 when the nation saw a huge uplift of remote work in post covid.

Side effects of success. California always balances the budget.

0.8% isnt fleeing genius. At the end of the day they are side effects of success. Bad living conditions are affordable. This thread is about what state offers a better life. Massachusetts does that. There are a tiny number of people that would rather have a worse standard of living for a bigger house. They are a tiny tiny tiny minority.

Getting people to move to your state is a success, people of all ages fleeing because of policies that make uninhabitable is not success

You cant live in my neighborhood. Why? You cant afford it due to lack of success. Success has side effects which is why California supplements federal support for the poor more than anyone. It’s expensive. Failure is cheap. Go buy a house in Oklahoma. You’ll have no issues.

California takes more federal dollars to supplement their poor their any state, and it’s not even close

Those that can’t afford to are fleeing the state and have for years now. This is why Newsome tried to essentially build his version of the Berlin Wall with his exit tax

That is untrue. California is a net contributor and receives less than Oklahoma per capita.

how the **** do you know how the quality of life is there?...most of the retirees were productive workers and are leaving because of the decline in the quality of life there....

Massachuttes is also a matured high-skill, knowledge-economy state not a rapid-growth frontier state. Standard of living is sky high, by all data points and rankings, and the cost of living is higher. Massachusetts is seeing a very similar dynamic as California - Retirees cashing out on their homes and moving to a lower standard of living area to live out their death. Massachusetts isnt losing any productivity. It’s actually rising.
Explain all the corporations fleeing those Dimwinger shitholes?

This will be fun….
