Because they knew how to deal with a virus pandemic and the USA does not.

The South Korean baseball league is officially playing.

They can play baseball when Americans cannot.

They get how to deal with a pandemic when Americans do not.

Sure. South Korea opens up baseball, while the alarmists here think that closing down the country is the key.

Why did South Korea outperform the US in response to Covid-19?

Reopening Our Economy Right Now Will Result in Mass Death

"The United States and South Korea had their first confirmed cases of the coronavirus on the same day, January 20.

"Within a week, South Korea’s government declared a national emergency and marshaled all of its resources for a coordinated effort to mass-produce test kits and then trace the contacts of infected persons going back two weeks, so the contacts could be quarantined.
uhoh.jpg

"By the end of March, South Korea had conducted over 300,000 tests, for a per capita rate more than forty times that of the United States.

"As a result of testing, testing, testing, and tracing, South Korea went from a high approaching 1,000 new confirmed cases a day in late February and early March to averaging about 10 a day, as you can see in the first graph.(above)

"On Thursday (4/30/20) the Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the country had zero new domestic cases, despite 29 million voters participating in national elections just two weeks ago. "

How does that compare to the richest country in history?

About as well as you would expect when you send a crony-capitalist to the Oval Office.

You do realize that South Korea is only equal to one of our 50 states? Or 57 states for some.
And that is not even some of our more populous ones.
They don't have nearly the number of people in and out of the country as the U.S.
They don't have all the quarantees of our constitution or bill of rights.
That don't have 50 stayes and how many counties and towns wanting to make decisions on what is best for them.

But yeah comparing the two is almost as valid as comparing a watermelon and a Chevy nova.

Totaling ignoring that South Korea had extensive testing capabilities in place that the US did not because of their recent MERS outbreak aren't we? Perhaps if Obama had prepared us better when MERS was going around, we would have stood a chance. Granny and Gramps' death scenes have deep blue fingerprints all over the place, but let's pretend they are orange.

Funny how you leave out they are playing in empty stadiums.

South Korea is still on full lockdown.

Wrestling is already doing that here and has been all the way through the lockdown. I guess we aren’t as behind as you think.

Welcome back Jakey.

What does Operation Crimson Contagion tell you about how Trump wasted the first three years of his term failing to prepare for an epidemic everyone knew was coming?

Crimson Contagion - Wikipedia

"Crimson Contagion was a simulation administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from January to August 2019 that tested the capacity of the U.S. federal government and twelve U.S. states to respond to a severe influenza pandemic originating in China.

"The exercise, which was conducted months prior to the start of the coronavirus pandemic, involves a scenario in which tourists returning from China spread a respiratory virus in the United States, beginning in Chicago. In less than two months the virus had infected 110 million Americans, killing more than half a million.

"The report issued at the conclusion of the exercise outlines the government's limited capacity to respond to a pandemic, with federal agencies lacking the funds, coordination, and resources to facilitate an effective response to the virus.[1][2]"

South Korea has “flattened the curve” that so many “experts” say is necessary. Yet they can not reopen. As soon as they do, more cases pop up. So what is the end game here? Force everyone to lockdown for the next 20 years?

It is very likely no vaccine will ever be effective. No vaccine has ever been made for a coronavirus. SARS happened 18 years ago and still no vaccine.

Which means the only way through it is reaching “herd immunity” where over half the population has been exposed to it. Which also means that lockdowns are a waste of time.

We should reopen and let young people get back to work. Elderly, who are retired anyway, can easily continue to self-isolate.

But yeah comparing the two is almost as valid as comparing a watermelon and a Chevy nova.
It’s like comparing a well organized and highly capable South Korean government to our dysfunctional chaotic government.

You get what you vote for.

Meanwhile their economy is collapsing.
When we lift the lockdown and get more people exposed, we’ll reach herd immunity much quicker, and life will be back to normal. While lockdown countries will still be living in fear and completely bankrupt.

Roflol. So you are saying that the democrats should never have distracted the nation with their halfassed impeachment. Pelosi should never have pulled her Chinatown stunt. Deblasio should have closed the schools before being forced to. He should never have reduced the number of subways running forcing more people to crush together. He should never have sent cv positive patients to retirement facilities. You are saying that Biden should never have called him xenophobic.
Or are you wanting to pretend that Trump should have thrown congress out. Acted with an iron fist so that everyone could complain that he had become a dictator. That he should have acted like the governors that are now being called out for not allowing people to do some of the most basic human rights.

Lying is what they do. In fact, without industrial-grade lying, the marxist shitstains literally have nothing to say.
