Five conservatives brought this travesty upon us, favoring an Orwellian named corporate lobby's stupid arguments to overturn laws protecting us from unlimited corporate election interference. Though this was obviously done to bias future major elections in favor of the Republicans, the Democrats barely raised an eyebrow knowing they too had already sold out so would just be shooting themselves in the foot by strenuously objecting.

We still live in a Republic (a representative Democracy), only "We The People" now means "We The Billionaires Hiding Behind Our Multinational Corporations Who Have Bought So Now Completely Run Your Congress (Central Governing Body)." Thanks, conservatives (Republicans and Democrats).
