The military is moving to electrifying their equipment as they are in need of replacement in as many areas as practical. Even firearms at some point will be and are for performance electrified. They are already enhanced by electrification.
We’d be hard pressed to even name one fossil fuel vehicle that isn’t dependent upon electrification....just to run properly. Water pumps, braking etc, and not just drive units are all being electrified in all vehicles everywhere, the military or not. Hybrids Are electric cars. And really, you could make a case that all vehicles are hybrids. They can’t even move without electrification. Electric motors for propulsion is just a final step.

It’s not a secret that EVs need to cost more then petro cars to make them profitable. Petro powered cars make very little profit as new cars for the auto retailer. They make their money in maintenance, finance charges and warrantee sales.
Electric cars need so little maintenance, the profit margin on sales needs to be higher. Some retailers refuse to stock many electric cars on their lots but insist you buy them factory or at least regional distributor direct.
