Well, I live in Canada and hold citizenship in Canada so Canada has the most influence on my personal life. I "care" about Canada a great deal.

I also have a particular fondness for the homelands of my ancestors: Ireland and Scotland and for the homeland of my adopted family: Israel. I would say I "care" about them more than nations to which I have no connection like Australia or Japan.

I have also visited and have fond memories of countries like Italy, France, and Switzerland. I have a particular enjoyment of visiting those countries. So, I "care" about them.
