This is based on the average capacity factor of 24.7% for utility-scale solar installations in the United States. The actual energy production would be reduced by factors such as solar radiance levels, cloudy weather, or snow/dust on the panels. However, with advancements in battery storage technology, it may be possible to store excess solar energy for use at night or during periods of low solar generation.
