Old dirty Socks will never break even running at 25% 9 months each year. He claims 25% in rain and fog 24-7. Wow.

He'll need new panels before he he sells back one kw.

Quality made solar panels in Switzerland are still producing at 80% or more of their original rating after 30 years. Given the advances in efficiency, they will probably be replaced simply because the new panels produce so much more in the same space.

Excellent. That means those folks are not on grid.

Electric boilers are exceptionally efficient. At the point of use, they convert 99 to 100 of the electricity they consume directly into heat, as they do not lose energy through flues or exhaust systems.

So the Swiss have free hot water and heating. Awesome.

That is horrible. Can you imagine if our coal plants, hydro plants and nuclear stations were only lucky to still be working after 30 years and having lost 1/5th of their original capacity at that?

That would be terrible.
