Making government big is the first step towards "totalitarianism." Socialism does that.

Government is not a "solution," it is a cost and a problem most of the time.

My people do not call our governments "Socialist". It is your people who call it that. So, when your people make unfavourable statements that equate Scandinavia with Socialism I have a choice to make and it is usually simpler to defend the socialist element of Social-Democracy. Now, you (who claims to know what Social-Democracy is all about) may think that I am not addressing the misconception but how do you get through to someone doesn't know shit about it? This is why I dismantle the critics to the original OP statement. I repeat - THEY DON'T KNOW SHIT. Socialism is a superior political philosophy whether it is found in Socialist nations, Social-Democratic nations, or Communist nations.
