"Socialism" Isn't the big bad boogie word Republicans want it to be any more

So, you still don't know what Social Democracy is, huh? Anything beyond "Republican or Democratic", "Far right or Far left", "With us or Against us" is light years beyond your comprehension. Do you really believe the rest of the world is run by a TWO PARTY system? You need to get that HikerGuy out into the world.
A social democracy is not a socialist state.

I am well aware of what the nordic countries are.

So, I am not sure just what your pant-wetting rant was about.

A lot of people do not agree with that. Britain and France are now arresting people for "thought crime."

Making government big is the first step towards "totalitarianism." Socialism does that.

Government is not a "solution," it is a cost and a problem most of the time.
All the citizens in the democratic countries I cited as examples have the freedom to vote.

You know what they DON'T ever vote for ever, ever, ever...? What America has.

Why do you think that is?

Did socialism work somewhere? I missed that news.
Yes stupid, for the 40-11th time, Canada, Scandanavia, Holland, France, Germany, Britain, et al.

The things you people call "socialism" is what these very successful countries, and might I add, American allies, call "normal life."

Why do you far rightwing scumbags insist on lying about every, single, thing?

Let’s see what happens if the newly elected Mayor of New York is able to implement his socialist agenda. Lots of young people have been given this romanticized fantasy of what socialism is it will be interesting to see how the feel about when they experience the reality of it and discover its not the nirvana they have been told it is.
Why don't you ask the countries I cited how they like their socialism?

Type it out here in black and white that Nordic countries aren't socialist.

I need to get this on record...

Type it in your words here for the record.

For example, you can type "Scandinavian countries are not socialist countries."

That'll be just perfect. G'head, do it.

Many view Sweden as socialist. However, the country is, in fact, very pro-capitalism,

Oh...and for all you socialism lovers......

In the 1960s, Sweden started to redistribute wealth, which brought wealth creation to a halt. By the mid-1990s, the country had growing economic problems because it continued to redistribute wealth it wasn’t creating. It was at this juncture that many of the wealthy (ABBA band members included) and entrepreneurs were leaving Sweden. In 1994, Sweden began implementing the following measures designed to reverse this trend:

  • Reduce Regulation
  • Reduce Government Spending
  • Reform their Welfare Programs
  • Shrink their Government

Yeah....that wealth redistribution was a purposeful drive towards socialism.

It basically screwed the country.

There are still some assholes that are as stupid as the human garbage dump MarcATL who are trying to bring it back.

Except they are not socialist.

I know you'll thank us for keeping you from looking stupid in front of your 14 year-old girlfriend.

Let’s cut right to the chase: Finland is not a socialist country in the way you’re probably thinking. It operates as a social democracy within a robust capitalist, free-market framework. This system, often called the Nordic Model, uses the wealth generated by capitalism to fund a world-class social safety net, but it fundamentally protects private property and economic competition. Think of it less as state control and more as capitalism with a very strong sense of community responsibility.

And even FOXNEWS knows it, as one of their hosts issues a dire warning on the political landscape at the moment.

Watch....

This is why you've seen Trump and other rightwing Republican politicos resort to terms like "Marxist" and "Communist" now.

They won't work either, because the American public finally has their eyes open.

What will Republicans do now to win?

Mandami is already peeling off his promises.

He's not going to turn NYC into something socialist.

The moron on the podcast is just that.....a moron.

I'm glad you said that, because you're refuting all the Republican bullshit they've been spewing over the years, because the left has been arguing to implement a system just like in those countries.
