"Socialism" Isn't the big bad boogie word Republicans want it to be any more

What, are you living in 19th century?
For some warped reason that is what they want, the times of Dickens, before the NHS poorer people were terrified of going to the Doctor because they couldn't afford it many died far too young or suffered many years with health problems, despite the problems we have with the NHS give me that anytime than the alternative, it's the same in the UK these days with Employment rights that have been under attack for years, fire and rehire is a tactic bad Employers use when they can get away with it, one case was P&O ferries who sacked all their workers by text one Sunday night many had worked for the company for over thirty years and told them unless they agreed new conditions and lower wages they would not be re-employed, i used to travel with them to the Netherlands i never used the Company ever again.

Bangladesh would be O.K. as a samole?
Or maybe US?

Between American Capitalism and American Socialism, I would prefer American Capitalism. Sure it is crony capitalism at its finest, but at least there are more winners than losers in the system. If America ever tried socialism it would be crony socialism and there would only be losers in the system, except for the politicians, of course. America is way too corrupt to try socialism, and most of that corruption seems to come from the left, who are the ones pushing for socialism. Now we know why. They win everything and we lose everything.

Why does it have to be one or other? have you never heard of a mixed economy? very successful in Scandinavia for many years.

America is already a mixed system that is slowly becoming more socialist. But it is not becoming like the Scandinavian socialists, it is becoming American style socialist. The American government is already way too corrupt and when it becomes all powerful the corruption will far exceed the corruption found in the old soviet union. I am not against socialism, but in order for socialism to offer a good standard of living it needs a government that is focused on the people. Today's democraps are not even close, and neither are the republicans. Everyday another headline of massive fraud comes out. Trust me, the world does not want corrupt, power hungry American Socialists sitting on 5000 nuclear weapons and a powerful military.

And even FOXNEWS knows it, as one of their hosts issues a dire warning on the political landscape at the moment.

Watch....

This is why you've seen Trump and other rightwing Republican politicos resort to terms like "Marxist" and "Communist" now.

They won't work either, because the American public finally has their eyes open.

What will Republicans do now to win?

Could you name where Socialism was a complete success? Don't point to the Scandinavian nations as they've come out and said that they aren't Socialist nations, but rather Free Market Capitalist nations with social programs. I seem to recall that one of our Northeastern states tried it and failed.
True Socialism means taking over all the means of production and ruling by the gun. Any businesses that would reject the socialist policies in a Socialist nation would be pushed out of business by force. In the instances where Socialism took over the means of production, the first debacle in each case was mass starvation as governments don't have the faintest notion about farming and distribution. Under Socialism, political opponents aren't allowed, thus ends Democracy, for to be a Democracy, opposing views must be allowed. Under Socialism, the freedoms enjoyed under the US Constitution are ended. Freedom of speech....gone. Freedom of religion....gone. Freedom of the Press....gone. Right to bear arms for your protection....gone. Due process....gone. Right to live in your own private home....gone. Search and seizure restrictions....gone.

Why do Americans always conflate Socialism with Communism? and in some Countries Fascism with democracy?

Democrats are trying to soft sell Socialism. The scary thing is there are enough clueless young voters who are ripe for the picking.
There's a whole generation of voters coming down that pike who are primed and poised to usher in full-blown socialism. Such are the "fruits" of MAGA.

Your first sentence is correct. Your second sentence makes no sense at all.
Yeah. It really does. Rightly, or wrongly, young people associate Trump with all things conservative, and some of those I care about, a lot. When people tie free-markets and limited government to the Trump crazy train, it drags those values into the muck with him. And when they reject Trump, many will also reject the things that he supposedly stands for.

We'll tilt socialist during the hangover from Trump's chaos. And MAGA will shoulder the blame.

It was Biden who wrecked the economy and helped create these idiots

Meanwhile those advocating for socialism are on the left side of the aisle.

They are there because Biden wrecked the economy and they couldnt afford a house, illegals drove up rents, inflation killed their wages.
