"Socialism" Isn't the big bad boogie word Republicans want it to be any more

Because Scandinavia operates under a mixed market capitalist system and not socialism. It has high taxes to give high welfare. Welfare is not socialism.
It really is worthless to discuss politics directly with the left as they are 105% convinced the most corrupt politicians on the planet are working tirelessly for their well being. They think the dumocraps in DC wake up early every morning to get to the office and fight like hell to make the common class rich. They refuse to believe dumocrap politicians actually work for the people who funnel big money to them, not the voters. This is certainly true of the GOP as well. With corrupt politicians we need a political system that gets the government out of the way as much as possible and allows motivated people to get ahead in life. That's the problem, most people aren't motivated and want a government that gives them everything, so they fall for the "Socialism Trap." It will eventually happen here, and we will become just like Cuba.

They follow the Bismarckian welfare state model, which also has its issues.

That was the intent of the framers. They expected that office holders would serve one term, then return home. That being said, the rich have eventually controlled every government in history.

What the framers did was great theoretically, but in reality it wasn't even close to perfect. But it was the best framework for a government at the time. Unfortunately it didn't take into account that people are naturally selfish and greedy, and the worst of the lot either become the uber rich and/or politicians. If We The People want to stop this, we have to realize that the only viable solution is to decentralize power as far as possible and render the government more accountable to We The People. Socialism is the polar opposite of that.

And even FOXNEWS knows it, as one of their hosts issues a dire warning on the political landscape at the moment.

This is why you've seen Trump and other rightwing Republican politicos resort to terms like "Marxist" and "Communist" now.

They won't work either, because the American public finally has their eyes open.

What will Republicans do now to win?

Several generations of marxist brainwashing in education are having the affect that libs were hoping for

Are you really trying to tell me that Trump ISN'T working tirelessly on my, and my fellow American's, well being?

Honestly, I don't think he gives a rat's ass about you personally, or me. But he does care about this country as a whole. The problems We The People face are because of a government that doesn't give a rat's ass about you or me, AND really doesn't give a rat's ass about the country either. Trump is nothing more than a step in the right direction after about 200+ years of a government that works for the highest bidder. But, you're a neo-leftist and have been dog trained to hate him and love the typical government that really hates you and wants to keep you subservient to the rich, all while feeding you delusions of grandeur through socialism.

I would, except for the fact that you are a neo-leftist and discussing politics with the neo-left is a complete waste of time. The answer to your question is ***** slapping you in the face repeatedly and has been for decades, just pay attention.

Prior to the Trump era, I agree that the GOP was content with government waste, fraud and abuse as long as they were getting theirs. That changed with Trump and now in his second term he is on a mission to fix what is broken both here and abroad. We will NEVER be like Cuba, thanks to President Trump.

The greatest lie the D.C. false political dichotomy have ever sold was convincing Americans that we are still a Constitutional Republic and not a Socialist Corporatocracy.

Since when do you get to tell others to do something?

You have been unofficially designated "a troll who NEVER SUPPORTS anything you say".

When you produce some back up, others will do that for you.

Which means...you'll never see any.

Yep. MarcATL is a troll.

He demands others "show him" but when pressed (repeatedly.....like 15 times in one thread....) nothing.

Why I don't have him on ignore is only because of his comedic value.

I was interested in determining your baseline.

Same for Neo-Liberal, can you define that term for me?

Looking forward to your response.

From what I've noticed about Trump over the decades, he is not a big fan of the status quo establishment that runs the two parties. I think he is doing a step in the right direction, but he is, unfortunately, about 200 years too late. Even if the entire government was MAGA, they couldn't fix the damage done to the country. But the entire government isn't MAGA, it is still full of status quo establishment politicians on both sides. We can only hope that Trump's efforts to reveal just how dysfunctional the government is keeps the people seeking another step in the right direction and not toward letting the dumocraps eventually fully control the country and **** it up forever.

I'm pretty sure I realized that my first week here. He's not the only one.

45%+ of Americans have had a family member who fought Communism in the last 75 + Years either in Military or law Enforcement or Industry or Engineering or Governmental capacity

Who is Jared kuschner employed by? Why is he (without a security clearance) representing our orange makeups regime’s interests to foreign governments.

Can you explain?
