I don't think that in itself is any solution. My advice is "reform". As you've already hinted (indirectly) every political philosophy has its good merits but it's the corruption that's made it "bad governance".

How many decades have we been talking about reforming the government? How many decades have we talked about draining the swamp? How many decades have we talked about the effect of Big Money on the government? People never think about this, they just follow what everyone else is saying at the moment on each side. This is important, because the government can continue to funnel more money from the commoners to the capital class as long as there are two diametrically opposed groups of voters fighting each other. Most republican voters already hate the government and want it reformed, all we have to do is get the democrap voters on board. Unfortunately the democrap voters seem to want a much bigger government with much more fraud, waste and corruption going on so hopefully they can get a few scraps.

The US claimed it was liberating Irak by introducing Democracy, lying about non-existent WMDs, torturing people, and thus murdered 1 million innocent men, women, and children. AND THEY GOT AWAY WITH IT! So, Democracy – that the hell’s that? I can tell you what it is (and it’s a wonderful thing) but it ain’t being practised anywhere and the UN isn’t even overseeing it, the bastards!
