Social Democracy

Well, it does have some clear implications on government.
Social Democracy does allow for commerce as does the the Constitution...

US has many popular social programs that is well supported by US people..

Things like Police, Roads, Schools,... are all social programs which are there to make society better...

Right. My beef with social democracy, democratic socialism, or just socialism in general is the same (though I realize they are distinct concepts). The problem is the blanket dedication to majority rule as the ideal for making social decisions. Majority rule is fine when it's necessary to force conformity. Most of the time, it's not. Most of time, freedom is better.
Social Democracy is quite different to democratic socialism... I don't think Americans know the difference .

Social Democracy from the Capitalist side is regulated Capitalism...

Unregulated Capitalism would allow anyone to sell any drug they wanted including Heroin and Fentanyl... The selling of opiates in drugs is heavily regulated today and when left relatively unregulated caused the Oxycontin epidemic...

As an example, EU which has been far more stringent, didn't have anywhere close to the same problem.

I know the difference. And the distinction has no bearing on my problem with socialism - of all flavors.

The more the state regulates and interferes with trade, the less free it is. It certainly sounds like social democrats want to regulate trade more than we do now, ie less free trade.
EU has free trade between all of it's countries...They are the bastion of Social Democracy, it was mainly Social Democratic parties that got that free trade. That is why they are called the single market.

Real free trade doesn't require a massive central bureau and scores of thousands of pages of bureaucrat speak.

If anyone has a total lack of understanding of what words mean, it's you, Corky.
To have free trade being fair to all, it does...

China can't just export what they like to EU, they have to conform to the EU laws...

US has the same type of rules too... This also includes Intellectual Property infringements... Illegal Steel Dumping to kill the US steal producers... These are good regulations to protect US businesses...

Social democracy advocates for state controlled trade. Which is the goal of all kinds of socialism. This gives too much power to government. It's similar to theocracy. It took us hundreds of years to realize that combining religious power with state power is a really bad idea. Now we're leaning the same lesson trying to combine economic power and state power.

Oh please. Germany is worried about the US leaving NATO because they know they can't defend themselves without the US military and money.
Against Russia, wouldn't have a prayer against Europe... Seriously, they can't handle Ukraine...

Nope...

Look at Europe... Explain how they have free trade, a single market and they are Social Democratic ran countries...

Social Democracy believe in fair trade (something a lot of US are asking for). Much like US they regulate certain things for the benefit of the people... US does the exact same thing with many other countries too...

How EU handle fair trade and movement is to standardise things like measurement and quality across the union (again something US do too). A gallon in California is the same gallon in Alabama.

You are asking for unrestricted free trade and that would leave the US economy completely open to all sorts of bad trade practices which would hurt US economy.

Your OP argues that we should look to Europe to shape our country, however Europe is dying, so why would we do that?
Where did you get Europe is dying?

Europe just has different goals... US considers success in GDP Growth, Europe looks more at quality of life.
Western Europe judges itself on how it treats its most vulnerable in Society...

Europe as I have shown has lower infant mortality rates, higher life expectancy, lower crime...

They don't. As I.mentioned, they have state controlled trade. That's the essence of all forms of socialism

No, I'm not. I'm merely pointing out that social democracy demands more state control of the economy. And I think that gives government to much control over society.

"Fair" is a sorry euphemism for "managed".

Free trade means exactly that: freedom of exchange between consenting adults, with no meddlesome State involved.
