If you are eligible to draw full benefits at 67 of say the average $2000 per month and die at the age of 75 you would have received
$216,000 in those 9 years.

If you can't start collecting full benefits until age 70 at the same rate you would have collected $144,000 over those 6 years.

That is a loss of $72,000 for the missed years.
