That was always the plan; in 1935 the average life span of an American was just under sixty two years. The initial qualification age to receive SS was sixty five years. So the average American wouldn’t receive a dime.

Of course it is.

If you are eligible to draw full benefits at 67 of say the average $2000 per month and die at the age of 75 you would have received
$216,000 in those 9 years.

If you can't start collecting full benefits until age 70 at the same rate you would have collected $144,000 over those 6 years.

That is a loss of $72,000 for the missed years.

Only MAGA logic thinks that raising the retirement age isn't a cut in benefits.

I had two years of full benefits cut.
