I never understood peoples need to proclaim themselves to be gay. It seems like something that would be better kept within ones inner circle of friends and family. I'm sure it was a very tough personal decision for him, but in this day and age is it really such a big deal? This is not the 1980s. No doubt in the coming days many players will make statements supporting him. As long as he can play well he will have a job in the NFL. When he can no longer play well, that will be that. Just like every other player.
