I am happy to report that I was sound asleep at 9 pm last night; so I was not among the 100 million suckers who watched another media con job. A quick check of the headlines about last night’s debate told me that Trump should have let Mike Pence debate Hillary Clinton if he, Trump, wanted to put the winning run on base.
Headlines tell me that Lester Holt’s conduct was the least surprising of all. I knew he was a Democrat stooge when the media began pumping him up as a straight shooter the day after he was announced as a moderator.
I cannot say what Trump or Clinton took away from last night’s kabuki dance, but Holt sure as hell ended up with job security in his chosen profession —— and a nice income for decades to come. I suspect that Holt will eventually land in a cushy spot in academia teaching young wannabes how to be impartial.
Pence should learn how Hillary plays the game before he gives her a walk. I guess he never heard this one: Never Put The Winning Run on Base.
