I would significantly increase military aid to Israel and assist them with their blockade of Gaza, as well as survielance of the region to help find tunnels and bomb UN run munition storages.

Of course I'd throw the UN off of our soil as well.

There is a concept known as a proportionate response. Ask any police officer about that. He'll understand that he can't just open up his weapon on a crowd of people based on the actions of one or two individuals.

For the purpose of THIS thread...

A. Israel is engaging in activities that the US would condemn if it was another nation.

B. Israel is using weapons we have provided or helped purchase to engage in this action.

C. The US has leverage over Israel, more so than any other nation. That means we can live up to our stated standards of conduct and save lives in the balance while also promoting ourselves as honest brokers to the Palestinians.


Therefore, I contend that it is not only our moral obligation to try to put an end to these civilian atrocities, it is also in our interest to do so.
