Should DC become a state and get 2 Senators and voting rights for residents?

D.C can never become a State. It's absolutely against the Constitution.

Most of D.C. could be ceded back to Maryland, but that's it.

Why doesn't anyone want to discuss Puerto Rican Statehood?

That's absolutely not true. "Most of DC" can be broken off (as you seem to understand) and nothing says it has to become part of Maryland.

I brought up PR by the way

You obviously never went to the National Zoo, and I don't mean Congress.
Washington DC
The area inside the rectangle contains most of the federal structures.
The area outside the rectangle is almost snturely residentail and commercial

And nothing says it needs to become its own state to bring federal representation to the people who live there.
You just want 2 permanently blue Senate seats,

Wrong. That's why YOU want to keep representation from these American citizens.

I have noted my support for PR being granted statehood and PR is pretty conservative

This is a lie
These people have a choice where they live -- if they are that worried about their representation, they can move.
And if YOU are that worried about their representation, you'll support the cession of the land back to MD.

You keep forgetting! Maryland doesn't want that shithole in their state. Even Democrats have some standards, as low as they are. They are not THAT low!

Dems in Congress say they are so concerned about disenfranchised citizens living in DC.

However, when you suggest giving DC back to Maryland, just like we did with Virginia…the Dems all of a sudden dont care about the voting rights of DC residents.

You lefties are so utterly full of shit ALL THE TIME.

That’s bullshit. You’re pulling shit out your ass

Sure it is
it is. The Founders intend DC to be neutral ground, as the federal seat of Govt, so that each State that makes up the Federal Govt be on equal footing. Making that seat of Govt a state itself would undermine that

More importantly...
How much area does the state department (and remaining federal apparatus) take up of the part of DC that lies outside the map?
The federal infrastructure is not so intertwined with the District that it cannot be separated out.
the Feds own and operate about a 1/3 of the land in DC.

No.

U.S. Constitution: Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17:

"To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards and other needful Buildings"

The seat of government is Not A State.
