Serious question for atheists.

The universe did have a beginning.

Just like the Bible said.
The bible also says that there was a world wide flood. That true as well?
Men wrote the Bible, Taz.
So it's not "just like the bible says".Thanks for walking that back.
No. It's not like how you are reading it. Thanks for proving my point.
So the bible is only true if you read it a certain way? Man, that's dumb.
Almost as dumb as reading it like a jackass.

There’s no thermal equilibrium. Done.
That’s retarded. The question is, are you?
There is no thermal equilibrium. That’s how we know the universe has not existed forever. It is that simple.
The answer is "yes"

climate change happens. retreating ice ages could cause world wide floods.

Well, at least you agree that as written, the bible is dumb. It's a start.

I read it at face value. If it says Jesus walked on water, then to me, real Christians actually thought that he walked on water... You're just a jackass.

If I am not mistaken, the word worship means to celebrate.

It would depend on a few factors. Is it a loving, benevolent God? Or is it the vengeful, insecure God in the Old Testament?

Like Crepitus said, in my mind he has a lot to answer for.

pinqy asked an interesting question of the OP. Magnificat, If some other god, different from the one you worship, we’re proven to be true, would you worship that god?

Dear pinqy and WinterBorn
How about this for an even better question
What would "GOD" have to be or mean
for someone to want to CELEBRATE
and/or hold that "GOD" to be supreme?

Here are some meanings of "GOD" that I've found different people or religious
approaches place as the highest

1. absolute or universal TRUTH,
collective KNOWLEDGE or WISDOM
2. perfect LOVE
3. Life, Nature or Source/Forces of all LIFE
4. Creation, Universe or SOURCE of these
5. Supreme GOOD WILL for all people/things

Which of these things would you esteem as the absolute highest of all.

Do you have issues with other people or groups seeking
or defining "GOD" to mean the other things also listed?

If "GOD" refers to all these things combined,
is that okay if other people/groups only focus on
SPECIFIC aspects if it still points to the same "GOD" of all?

Good question Winter. What if the "one true God" is actually from the Hindu religion, or what if the Taoists were the ones who were right?

(And, to tell you the truth, the Taoist concept of a Higher Power comes closer to describing God than any other description of God that I've heard).

Dear ABikerSailor
If all these systems attempt to represent the same God
which does it matter what system is used by which group/person.

If God is the source/author of ALL truth and ALL things
wouldn't all these other forms of expression still refer to the SAME GOD anyway?
In order to be true?

People are free to believe what they want

Others look at the available evidence and say.......that stuff doesn’t seem real

Yes, people are free to believe and even do as they want. Not sure what that has to do with this though.

What available evidence are you referencing?

...why should we take women seriously for free under Capitalism?

Ruth was conservative and faithful.

Free chics can't even get us laid while alleging equal pay for equal work while guys can get entire gangs of motivated men.

It appears even you don’t know. Which is odd because you are the one looking for it.
