Serious discussion on "Diversity, Equity, Inclusion"

It's simply amazing just how much whites on the right do not know.

Serious question. Should this poster be banned in a school because you don’t want “DEI”?

I know what racism is because I've faced it for 64 years now. So don't try to tell me how everything isn't racism especially when YOU have posted stuff that is racist.

You miss the entire point. Whites have hired based on color in all of the time the United States has been a country. The opposition to DEI is based on a lie because whites such as you want to continue the practice of hiring whites. Again, the data shows that whites are 77 percent of the workforce. DEI is not affecting whites as far as employment or promotions are concerned. For you to use sports to argue when there are all kinds of sports that whites choose to play. that blacks can't afford due to the racism involved pertaining to income. There are thousands of white American men who are 6'0 to 7'0 tall playing volleyball. There are very few blacks in that sport; most tall blacks play basketball. So your entire argument in this regard is a bunch of disingenuous racist right-wing white mumbo jumbo. You always have excuses and they have no merit.
You type like a shill. An evil one who works for the deep state, and you live good off of it. It may take evil to get elected to get rid of the evil like you who rules. And you would deserve to be executed from that. Do not take this lightly. You see the trending of this nation through propaganda slowly turning anti-Israel with left wing politically inclined Jewish people against Israel through agendas.

I have read post after post at USMB, on X, on Facebook and elsewhere that:

1. Accuse Trump, Musk et al of racism, being Nazis, being fascists or whatever because they reject DEI in favor of qualifications, credentials, competence, effectiveness, efficiency, aptitude, vision, intuition .

2. Insist that society benefits when DEI is the criteria for hiring, appointments, promotions even if qualifications need to be lowered to achieve it.

Well if diversity is based on skin color I offer this chart for consideration:

And if LGBTQX++++ is to be included as the goal for DEI it further begs the question.

What question?

THIS QUESTION:
How does choosing people based on skin color, sexual orientation, gender preference, ethnicity, etc. improve the quality of life for all Americans? Makes America more free, more secure, more efficient, more effective, more prosperous? How does it make the military better? Commerce and industry better? Those values important to most American better?

Can we keep this more or less on topic and civil?

How does excluding people on any basis improve the quality of YOUR life. I lived and worked in the most diverse cities in the world, and I MISS it, living in the whiter than white rural Ontario.

Mark Carney, our new PM, called Canada a "mosaic" versus the USA's "melting pot". I miss the differing points of view, customs and food. I miss ethnic restaurants, and Caravan - a "tour" of the world in Toronto. The ethnic neighbourhoods define the City. My neighbourhood was the Studio District, between the Beaches, and south of the Broadview Chinatown, and Little India. Greektown along the Danforth.

What white Americans on the right fail to understand is that America became diverse when their ancestors landed here. This is a reality that just doesn't seem to get through their thick skulls.

Last, you idiots are responsible for this country losing 51 trillion dollars since 1990, and if you continue with your racism, America will see more money lost.
I wasn't aware the GOP has been in control since 1990.

And where in my OP do I talk about excluding anybody? I enjoy ethnic cultural expressions in architecture, food, festival dress, etc. too. But the OP has nothing to do with that. But doing away with wokeism and political correctness would be a huge benefit to encourage more of it.

That's what FF is pointing out, yet you say FF doesn't get it.
No it isn't. The entire anti-DEI argument from the right is about how unfair it is for whites to be passed over because of race, even as whites continue passing over people even if they assume they are not white.

How about being aware that white racism is costing this country huge sums of money? Yet you want it to continue.

What does that poster have to do with DEI?
Well, it has hands of all colors and indicates that “all” are welcome, which means it supports both diversity and inclusion.

So quite a lot, apparently.

Trump would have the poster banned.

Geez. I can't imagine anybody more brain dead to think that the anti-DEI argument is anything close to what you are arguing here. Are you really that dumb? Or you're so partisan/brain washed/agenda driven that you refuse to see what the anti-DEI argument actually is?

Not sure why the left wants to talk about DEI and ignore meritocracy.
I believe most want the best person for the job and not checking a box.

D.I.E. is unimportant "fluff" and needs to be allowed to crawl-off into a corner to die a slow ignoble death.

Wrong Brotha'.........

It's about hiring ANY person based on qualifications instead of the color of their skin.
