Serious discussion on "Diversity, Equity, Inclusion"

I have read post after post at USMB, on X, on Facebook and elsewhere that:

1. Accuse Trump, Musk et al of racism, being Nazis, being fascists or whatever because they reject DEI in favor of qualifications, credentials, competence, effectiveness, efficiency, aptitude, vision, intuition .

2. Insist that society benefits when DEI is the criteria for hiring, appointments, promotions even if qualifications need to be lowered to achieve it.

Well if diversity is based on skin color I offer this chart for consideration:

And if LGBTQX++++ is to be included as the goal for DEI it further begs the question.

What question?

THIS QUESTION:
How does choosing people based on skin color, sexual orientation, gender preference, ethnicity, etc. improve the quality of life for all Americans? Makes America more free, more secure, more efficient, more effective, more prosperous? How does it make the military better? Commerce and industry better? Those values important to most American better?

Can we keep this more or less on topic and civil?

DEI is commie based. Merit is the only judge. Being a fag or a scummy racist like IM2 only elevates you in filthy commie dem circles.

Not to worry, folks. Foxfyre et al are failing already in trying to revise and recast American history. Just keep pointing out the history of America.

Like this:

“Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we’re going to have to change our traditions, our history; we’re going to have to move into a different place as a nation.”

Not sure why the left wants to talk about DEI and ignore meritocracy.
I believe most want the best person for the job and not checking a box.
Take away racism, and the left has pretty much nothing to use at all. Even with racism they have to twist, distort, mischaracterize, misrepresent and make thing up.

Let's just get to the point here. You right-wingers are lying. If this was not about race, none of you would be assuming that DEI means that unqualified people of color are hired. You never think about the fact that unqualified whites exist. That has NEVER been brought up in discussion, and the only argument you guys are making is about how only non-whites are hired because of color and only whites are hired due to merit. This is a racist argument, and it is done by whites who think whites are entitled to everything because they are white.

Your use of plausible deniability won't work. Your argument does not stand up under the scrutiny of fact. There is no discrimination against whites when 77 percent of the workforce is white. DEI is not taking anything from whites. DEI is creating merit-based hiring because before such policies existed, whites weren't hiring non whites regardless of their qualifications. So your argument is against merit and for hiring based on race.

Last, this thread and especially the post from foxfyre telling me how I teach blacks that we are victims shows the absolute oblivious nature and lack of self-awareness of the right-wing mind. It is the right who is whining and pushing a claim of anti white victimhood that when examined against the facts is load of racist dog shit.

It is time for the fake white grievance mongering to stop. Your asses aren't being denied jack shit. You aren't entitled to everything because your ass is white.

The racism comes from the right. YOU are an example. Stop teaching whites that they are victims.

Well, it has hands of all colors and indicates that “all” are welcome, which means it supports both diversity and inclusion.

So quite a lot, apparently.
DEI is not diversity and inclusion. That happens quite naturally in many many ways. DEI is the opposite of natural diversity and inclusion.

The D stands for diversity and the I is inclusion.

So actually DEI is diversity and inclusion.

The International Space Station costs American taxpayers three billion dollars a year to operate. We pay the freight for Russia, Europeans, Japan. Come up with an American station even if smaller that costs less. Crash that white elephant. It hinders our advancement. NASA cannot even produce human transport to lower earth orbit on their own without costing huge resources. The Space Launch System even when it cheapens per launch would cost 2 billion dollars. Musk does it for 200 million dollars at most. And cheaper.

Bless your heart. I suppose it's too late to teach you such things as nuance, interpretation, the different between words and different meanings assigned to those words, concepts such as a title does not always convey what the subject matter is or critical thinking. But oh well. Do have a lovely day.

This is why no one should ever believe you when you claim to want a “serious discussion”.

You don’t. You want narrative reinforcement.

LOL, and the M in Marener can be construed as standing for mis gendered, so what is your point-)

Sure as hell looks like it here:

That may be true, but remember who then-President Joe Biden thought should be in charge of the FAA back in 2023.

Phillip Washington had previously been the CEO of the Denver International Airport when he was nominated, CNN reported, but Republican lawmakers noted he had "slim aviation credentials and his potential legal entanglements."

For what it's worth, Washington was a person of color. I'm not sure whether or not this played any role in him getting the nomination. What I am sure of -- and what a senator who also happened to be a pilot made sure of, as well -- is that he should never have been nominated in the first place.

During Washington's confirmation hearings, North Carolina GOP Sen. Ted Budd, himself a licensed pilot, asked Washington a series of seven questions related to aviation.
He batted a perfect .000.

You never think about the fact that unqualified whites exist.
Yes they do..........in many areas....................so what's your point?
DEI is creating merit-based hiring because before such policies existed, whites weren't hiring non whites regardless of their qualifications.
Your statement is only partially true, based on what you just implied, no non whites would ever get a job from white employers.

There is no discrimination against whites when 77 percent of the workforce is white.
If you look at demographics, employment by all races is close to the ethnic make up of the country.

If you present yourself publicly, as you do here, it is not hard at all to envision that.
