Sept. 1. Trump raised your taxes again today!

Not if you don't buy "Made in China". Or, if you do, refuse to buy anything with increased prices. China is already devaluing the Yuan and dropping THEIR prices to try and ensure US importers still buy their junk.

Companies will have to eat the costs if they want to remain competitive. Imagine America received all their lost jobs back from China? You'd have a massive booming Middle Class, just like the good old days!

LOL..

Walmart reduced their orders two months ago by 20% anticipating this issue. China is already feeling the Bern on their socialist crap products.

The Sept. 1 tariffs would take about $16 billion out of Americans’ pockets over the course of a year, if Chinese import levels remain the same. Add in the Dec. 15 tariffs and the cost of the tax would rise to $40 billion. That’s not a huge hit in a $21 trillion economy, but it does add up. JPMorgan Chase estimates the tariffs already in place and scheduled to go into effect will cost the typical American household more than $1,000 per year.

$40 billion. $1000 a year per household. That works out to 40 million households. About 320 million Americans.

That means the typical household has about 8 people. Really?

That's some bad math in that $1000 claim.

This won't cost anything to the typical household. This is all discretionary spending. If Americans don't want to pay the costs, they won't buy it.

Nobody NEEDS a new everything. If they need a specific product new that has gone up in price, they will take the money needed from some other products they don't need.

The more Americans understand what's at stake, the better the chances Americans will consciously avoid Made in China products and embrace winning this trade war.

Sorry but you need to take a course in Government. Taxes start in the Congress so as it is now the Democrats would have to pass it.....LOL big false post.

China has devalued their currency, and dropped prices on a large number of their products to keep the prices that are under tariffs from rising. We import a lot more in Chinese products then China does of ours. Their economy is already suffering.

There are ways not to be taxed if you want to call it that. Only buy what you really need. Buy American first. If you feel you have to have it and have Chinese then shop around and try to find it at the lowest price possible.

Usually though taxes are not voluntary. They are voted on by congress.

99% of the shoes sold in America are made in Asia. Is wearing shoes discretionary in your neighborhood?

Another Trumpette fails to understand that tariffs are taxes on Americans! Incredible!

If anyone has taken a walk through Walmart lately, you might see that they are drastically marking down and clearing out a shit-ton of Chinese-made stuff. This is what they normally do before the next shit-ton of Chinese-made Thanksgiving and Christmas trinkets arrive. I actually bought 5 4-packs of Chinese-made 60-Watt dimmable LED lightbulbs for 97 cents a box. They would have normally been $4.95. I also bought two Chinese-made inflatable air mattresses for 50 cents, normally $1.50.

Everywhere I looked, cheap Chinese-made crap was being marked down to make room for the next season's items. It's kinda funny that China's goods are being devalued like that. You can bet they they're feeling the effects of the Trade War a hell of a lot more than we are.

We're winning this Trade War, so fuck 'em.

15% of your new car is made in China.

But, beyond that, tariffs cost Americans jobs, and destroys wealth. Everybody suffers from Walmart down to the parent buying back to school shoes and backpacks for their kids. The American Chamber of Commerce opposes these tariffs. 160 CEO's from major companies went on record of opposing them. Wall Street, and individual investors oppose them.
