Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is going to bring his Veteran's Spending Bill for another vote this week.
In February of this year Senate Republicans successfully killed the bill by a procedural vote. 41-Senate Republicans voted against the bill.
The same 41-Senate Republicans have been bitching loud, long and continuous about the long wait for medical care at Veterans Administration Hospitals.
Now mind you, the I.G. Report the Republicans wave like a flag regarding the failures of the V.A. to meet the health and educational needs of the V.A. is in no way, shape and/or form the first such report to be issued.
Reports of long waiting times for appointments at the V.A. date back to 2005. Which means the U.S. Congress has known about these problems for Nine (09) Years.
Who was President in 2005?
What Political Party held clear Majorities in the House of Representatives and the Senate in 2005?
The problems of the V.A. have been well documented for NINE FREAKING YEARS. Republicans did not do a single solitary FUCKING THING under the shrub or darth dick(less). Only now do they begin to bitch.
Now, thanks to Senator Sanders the Republicans will have a chance to put their well known bitching into action.
They can Vote with the Veteran's and approve Senator Sanders Bill.
Or they can do what they usually do...nothing.
