Senate Version Of Trump Tax Bill Adds $3.3 Trillion To Deficit, $500BN More Than The House; Debt Ceiling Raised By $5 Trillion

Why not go back to square 1 and separate the tax cuts from the rest. Pass the tax cuts, then take time to go thru other cuts so that american citizens aren't affected by Medicaid cuts.

It is a flawed bill but if it is rejected the taxpayers face a 68% increase in taxes.

That's a lie you've been told. And without any research, you just keep telling it.

68% of the people will have a 7.5% tax increase. NOT a 68% tax increase.

If the BBB gets signed into law, it's going to decrease the value of the USD by 12%. Plus inflation. So signing this behemoth of a spending bill into law, is going to create a 5% net loss to 100% of the consumers in this country.

They can only pass legislation thru reconciliation and they only have so many reconciliation bills per session.

Or they could pass legislation through regular order but we know that they can’t pass their unpopular agenda that way.

It doesn’t help when democrats vote to not remove illegals from Medicaid.
It doesn't help when Trump and his cult would rather HOUSE immigrants, instead of deporting them.

Giving kickbacks to his donors who run these privately run companies.

Pretty obvious that Trump will say anything and everything to get what he wants. He went off on one about saving money. He didn't actually want to save money, he wanted to get rid of things he didn't like, so he said "we're saving money" as an excuse and a way of avoiding talking about the real reason he wanted to get rid of things.

Now he wants to funnel this money to rich people, just like he did in his first term. Getting rich now and who cares about the future (he won't be alive to suffer), is all he cares about.

Time and time and time again he screws he supporters over, and every time, they cheer.

This is what happens when fiscal conservatives get greatly outnumbered by RINO's. By now, according to Trump's campaign promises, the government size and scope should be greatly reduced. And the spending cuts should be massive.
But both are getting bigger. This lesser of two evils ain't working. It's never worked. And it never will.

Senate Version Of Trump Tax Bill Adds $3.3 Trillion To Deficit, $500BN More Than The House; Debt Ceiling Raised By $5 Trillion

The Senate version of President Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill (BBB) will add nearly $3.3 trillion to US deficits over a decade, according to the latest estimate from the Congressional Budget Office, half a trillion more than the $2.8 trillion in deficit expansion under the House version of the same bill. That’s from a starting point with debt to GDP already in excess of 120% and the fiscal deficit sitting close to a peacetime record.

Another bad move by government officials in the two party system. Fortunately Congress blocked the Biden bill but it looks like this monster will pass, disgusting how much money our government is willing to pay for partisan politics, all at the cost of hard working Americans.

Democrats want that.
No silly one, democrats do not support the republican plans to drastically cut Medicaid to American citizens in the guise of eliminating it for illegals, when illegals are already banned from receiving it....and all to extend a $4trillion tax cut where $2 trillion in tax cuts, 50% of the tax cut money, goes to the top 5% of the nation's wealthiest.

Why would you ever, in a million years, support shifting wealth away from those at the bottom, in to the hands of the very wealthiest, increasing wealth disparity? Why oh why, oh why?

Are you high? :)

States provide healthcare and welfare for illegals. The states get reimbursed by the Federal Government. So yeah, illegals aren't "banned from receiving it."

They do not get reimbursed by the federal govt for it.

They do not get reimbursed by the federal govt for it.

States get massive amounts of federal money.

Do states get Medicaid money from the federal government?

Yes, states receive significant funding for their Medicaid programs from the federal government. This funding is a shared responsibility, with the federal government matching state spending based on a formula. The federal contribution is often referred to as the Federal Medical Assistance Percentage

The GOP have the trifecta. There's not blaming the democrats for any of this.

I'm sick of the democrats getting everything they want when they have a slight majority. And when the GOP has a slight majority. RINO's are weak.
They do not have a trifecta. In order to have a trifecta you have to have at least 60 votes in the Senate.

They get reimbursed for only the +/- half of federal Medicaid help they federally qualify for...and illegals do not meet the federal qualifications, so those amounts spent by the State on illegals, are NOT reimbursed.

States are not simply allotted money to spend as they wish for Medicaid silly one, the States are reimbursed by their individual usage on qualified federal Medicaid recipients, not the unqualified.

That's only to stop a filibuster.
That's what the Senate is. You can't do much of anything without 60 votes. You can't use reconcilliation for everything and trying to get everything into one big beautiful bill obviously isn't working. It's not a trifecta unless you have 60 votes.

Major Conservative Org Endorses Senate’s Big Beautiful Bill . . . Heritage Action, which has 2.5 million grassroots activists nationwide, came out swinging for the U.S. Senate’s budget reconciliation bill in a press statement released Monday. The group, one of the largest conservative grassroots organizations in the United States, backed the budget bill that is set to pass the upper chamber early this week.

Illegals are not eligible for MEDICAID. It is unlawful right now. You are repeating a NON EXISTENT, created and manufactured right wing, fake news talking point!

Hard to imagine the fantasy world that you live in.
