I don't know how in the world they plan on taxing "wealth". The logistics of that, gathering and determining the numbers, would be interesting to see.

Regarding grandstanding, that's almost certainly true. Make the Republicans look like ogres protecting the billionaires by not signing on. Like Trump knowing the Dems weren't going to stand during the State of the Union.

Even if the Republicans lose control of Congress in November, it has no chance of being signed into law by Trump in his remaining two years. Regardless, it's a stupid idea. Wealth taxes do not work. This has been shown to be true over and over again by other countries who have attempted it. They always end up with lower-than-expected revenues. France, for example, attempted this ten years ago and had to abandon it. Congress doesn't need more money; they need to spend less.

Ok, so if that’s the case, then why aren’t rich liberals sending truckloads of money to the government? No, they are using the same tax loopholes those evil republicans are.

I don’t like the statement that taxes are the price that we pay to live in a civilized society. That could lead to a slippery slope. One could say well if you don’t pay enough taxes youre not being a good patriot, this could lead to the government with more control than than we want it to.

You have to have a government that uses it all money, responsibly in order to justify that.

At least 40 percent of Citizens do not pay federal income taxes. This will in no way help them at all. Sanders message actually means the Democrats plan to spend what they can grab from the wealthy. What it also means is a group or citizens who are in the upper 70 percent also do not get harmed, and now only those super rich will own the government lock stock and barrel.

Billionaires, such as Trump will be FORCED to take charge of all Government. From the feds to states, Sanders and Rokanna will ensure the ultra-rich run things thanks to pure necessity. We will have a string of Trumps for hundreds of years.
