Edited to add: So and so slept together or are doing "IT" or "the deed." As a whole, people don't sleep much at all if any, when they are making love. I don't consider love making "it" or "the deed." I consider such terms bawdy as well as denigrating to the people involved. If my ideas seem archaic, you are either too young or too disrespectful to yourself and those close to you.
