I am just about finished with "Saturday" by Ian McEwan. It is an interesting read. If follows a british surgeon's day on a Saturday in London. The writing is a bit heady, you have to read it slow, which does drive me bonkers at times, but it is a short book. Good insights into people's thinking. Also, discusses the lead up to the Iraq war. Discusses (through characters) both viewpoints very well.
