If you really want to blame Trump for the prices you could go back to 2020. Trump signed massive spending bills which dumped over $10 trillion into a locked down economy, which caused the inflation that has fucked us all over. Of course if you did that then the Democrats in Congress who voted for all that spending would also share the blame.
