Trader Joe's has nowhere near the selection of Safeway.

Less is more. Quality is better.

The only store, apart from Lidl, where l can get tarte flambé, and other European products. Wine is good too. Much better than the overpriced crap in Harris Teeter for instance

I join other members (and guests) in expressing the deepest sympathy to those people of that community who are well-behaved.

They are now losing another vital business for them.

And my sympathy, too, to all the employees who are now unemployed.

It's a MUCH better store in every way, and serves not only core nutritional needs, but has all manner of other goodies as well.

Its prices are much lower too.

Looks like a win/win to me; better use of the land and a better/cheaper grocer.

And of course the fact that a TJ is moving in puts the lie to the whole decay/chaos/crime narrative.
