Olive Garden will close on Christmas. Score one for conservatives

Why would i ever be ignorant enough to let politics decide where i live? I want cold and snow in the winter. Thats what i want. So thats where i live. Please put me on ignore i implore you. Do it please. I beg of you. I want you yo put me on ignore a o do it please.
Nah! I provide a public service by showing how you need a good strong laxative and a mental health exam. Want to shut me up? Answer my questions without dishonesty and deflection. That will give you more to talk about to keep your brain active and not dissolving as it is now.

I dont consider politics where i live. Need me to get the crayons so you understand? Ever taught anyone anything?

Never been to Olive Garden, so it makes zero difference to me.

^^ The never ending culture wars between the left and the right, show the right starting to win some battles. Recently it was Cracker Barrel who was FORCED to stop their "changeover", bring back the old white guy and his barrel, get out of the "woke" business, and just go back to making good food. Their CEO is hanging on by a thread, by the way.

This time, it's Olive Garden who decided that the almighty dollar isn't quite as important this year, and they will close all of their restaurants for Christmas, and give their employees the day off. Nice job, OG.

From the article: Walmart, Target, Costco, and Trader Joe's, have also adopted Christmas Day closures.

Small wins, but they add up.
I have loved that these businesses finally got the message that they lose money and customer goodwill when they disregard tradition with these holidays. I had a relative that worked for Target when they were demanding all employees to be at work at 6 pm on Thanksgiving. It made me very angry. So much so, that I haven't been in a Target store in nearly ten years. I remember living in a small town as a boy and most all business closed down every Sunday. I didn't think it was a bad thing.

Perhaps not everybody celebrates the holidays. Or employees want the overtime wages because they cannot make enda meet. Its kind of hypocritic to say we need less regulations for businesses then turn around and tell them when theyre allowed to be open. We celebrate thanksgiving with a decent meal but dont give thanks for anything other than the small family we have. Is there more?

Very old news... haven't ALL of those places been doing this for many years?

Apparently, just not enough business on Christmas to justify staying open. Italian cuisine, which features dishes like veal parm and chicken parm, doesn't qualify as "kosher" in any sense of the word, and Jews looking to head out on Christmas usually prefer to patronize Chinese joints.

No. They haven't.
Hmmm...

I seem to remember that differently, so, just for grins, I Googled the thing, and...

Not that I consider ANY A.I. (including Google's) to be rock-solid reliable when it comes to information-hunting... this is what the beastie served-up when I ran my inquiry...

Capture.webp

...originally, I had wondered if this was a matter of Corporate Stores vs. Franchise Stores, but that same A.I. tells me that - except for a few airport locations and some international locations - virtually all Olive Garden stores are company-owned...

For whatever all that's worth...

Too funny.

Hardly. We want the bright kids to go to college and the average kids to get vocational certification. That way everyone can earn a living.

You Dems want to keep them poor, ignorant, and voting for more Dem handouts.

Well since they’re getting welfare....they should; according to right wing nutjobs.

They should also be barred from buying soda or chocolate; again according to right wing nutjobs.
Rubbish... :cuckoo:

They're out there growing food for you...

Ghetto welfare porch-critters, on the other hand, aren't doing $hit for you...

I'll give the hard-working food-growers the benefit of the doubt...

Your porch-critters... no so much...

Farmers can feed themselves, these city dwellers like cornholio, whine because they live in a food desert. If someone didn't feed them, they'd starve.
