Sacramento removes law requiring people to stand for national anthem

The city of Sacramento will no longer require people to stand and salute when the national anthem is played. Next maybe they'll require people to kneel when the anthem is played.

I never knew there were places where it was law. I just thought normal Americans knew standing at attention and saluting or placing your right hand over your heart was the right thing to do and the ones who did different were just dirt bags. We don't need a law. I would rather see who the dirt bags are, so I can shun them.

Perhaps the law should be against employing the national anthem in promotion of private enterprise (pro-sports).

Mandated patriotism is not patriotism at all.

that is the argument used against requiring children to stand for the pledge of allegiance.

yet, we see the moral decay and social unrest that such open minded thinking has led to.

It wasn't a law. There is no such law. It was just a procedural recommendation to show respect during the Anthem. It doesn't take much to get lefties riled up these days.

they lied? what a shock.

Smart city that values freedom of speech!
People should be free to express themselves whether standing, sitting or kneeling.

Yep, really bright, attract all the folks that can't speak English.
