Russia already has that port. And they've never flexed to control world trade.

On the other hand when the west overthrew the duly elected President and his party in the Ukraine one of the key plays was to take over the Russian ports in Crimea.

Simplified, the weapons only have x amount of bullets in the gun. The system is mobile, so it is able to be hidden until it paints itself. Once it launches its position becomes known and can be targeted. Russian systems have been taken out this way since Vietnam days. Our forces simply overwhelm their system with questionable targets and destroy their system as they waste resources shooting down false targets. Cost us a bunch of money to send all those fake targets at them, but we control the sky when it's done. Works every time.
