Russia will never be awarded Ukraine territory gained by Russia's invasion

Because they are planning to cut their armed forces to less than that once the fighting stops already. So it costs them nothing to put that line in the deal, and it sweetens teh deal for the russians.

Because as long as teh fighting is going on, the real chance of LOSING IT ALL NOW, is on the table.

End the fighting, the problems move from IN YOUR FACE KILLING YOU problems to "someday maybe" problems, which are much easier to deal with.

The RUssians MIGHT invade again in 5 years? Let's prepare for that. Let's pay more taxes to build weapons and train men, and man, isn't that better than having a war just drag on and on killing us?

No, it's not. It's make complete sense. YOu are just naysaying becasue you want to use this war for national security and political gains.

  • “The collapse of the Great Mongol Empire was the greatest catastrophe of the 15th century.”
  • “The Moscow
    🇷🇺
principality illegally withdrew from the Golden Horde.”
  • 🇨🇳
China decides for itself with whom it shares borders.”

They are not planning anything untill they get serious security guarantees you goof, stop posting out of your ass.

Somewhere in their government they have plans for demoblization if/when fighting stops.

And they know that the number for their standing army will be far less than the balls to the wall fighting force they have in the field NOW.

Thus, it is an empty promise that costs them NOTHING.

This was a trick aimed at the russian people, to trick them into thinking they got something.

That you feel for it, is embarassing for you.

Suppopsedly there is a new version of agreement Trump's admin is working on and that ridiculous troops cap was taken out.
HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

That's fine. Doesn't matter.

Replace it with a line demanding that both sides have "good wishes" for the other. It will mean just as much.

Here, some more.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

There were no Russian troops in Ukraine in 2014 after the Coup, Crimea already had Russian forces in Sevastopol, they took action to secure the place

Dummy, that's just another Kremlin's euphenism for invasion.

RF soldiers left their Sevastopol base premises, directly violating terms of lease with Ukraine and Ukraine's sovern borders.

They then rolled on to block small Ukraine millitary force, capture Crimean parlament and put a RF flag on it.

If thats not Russian troops in Ukraine then the word has no meaning.

Never say never. Another midget in the headlines, the green one.

Ukraine has reportedly agreed to the framework of a potential peace deal.
If the reports are confirmed, it could be a significant step toward ending who have been at war since feb. 2022.
Reports citing an unnamed U.S. and Ukrianian officials suggested a deal had been reached during talks in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

Hopefully so. Time to turn off the killing fields

None of that matters - there is no deal to be had because Russia will not accept real security guarantess and Ukraine will never agree to to a deal without them.

Russia can draft an agreement with Trump, Ukraine can draft an agreement with Trump, but they won't agree with each other's terms so long as they can sustain a war effort.

It was all Russian lands into the 1990s' does it matter who takes over?

It was not "russian land" it was Ukraine, a republic among equals within USSR.

"Russian land" is what is Russian Federation today, a country of just about the same age as Ukraine.

Is it only the Obiden money laundering you care about?
Good point. In modern times the current borders of Ukraine were a Stalinist USSR construct, more of an administrative district hiding behind a veil of nationhood. There never really was a Ukraine of any real substance before outside of a New Jersey sized piece around Kiev as Poland/Lithuania and the Austrian-Hungarian empires shrank and grew.

your dates are wrong.
there is no obama/biden money laundering, or we would have already had investigations into it.

See Joe? Even Rushists are wondering wtf happened to you to start repeating "common sense" they get force fed daily by their state TV.
What did they fed you today? Is Pokrovsk still under Khokhlo-scum? (I bet you know who Hohols are but your fellow democratic crazies sometimes can't figure that out, so I've tweaked the spelling a bit, anticipating their capriciousness.)

I agree that nearly everyone ought to have an opinion but there are those who have so little knowledge on certain subjects that it makes me wonder if it's their cat running across the keyboard that's responsible for their contributions to the thread.

No, he is a thinker, a stanch believer. 😄

The U.S. president can substantially influence and possibly bring about a reduction in U.S. involvement and push for a negotiated end — that is reasonably likely. But forcing a comprehensive, durable end to the war (one that settles territorial and security disputes without broad agreement from Ukraine and key allies) is unlikely without multilateral buy‑in and Ukrainian consent. :)

I've got a real crazy idea for you - how about simply looking it up?

In an article titled What’s Happening in Donetsk Oblast While Trump and Putin Push Ukraine Toward 'Peace’, said Pokrovsk is "largely lost." The entire section below the railway that bisects the city is under Russian control, the report said.

Ukrainska Pravda said the General Staff's map for the Pokrovsk sector "lags reality by at least a month."

This is what reporting looks like in developed democratic world, compared to the never ending propaganda from your Putin Vision.
