It wasn't enough that Russia worked to influence the outcome of the 2016 Presidential election, but now they are working to get rid of those within the GOP that they feel are counterproductive to Trump's mission within the government. Funny thing is, there has already been hints of it working on posters on this forum, with the anti-McMaster threads.
