Russia/Ukraine: Progress but there's no deal until there's a deal

Had it not been for The Halfrican's weak "leadership" the occupation of Crimea and the Donbass War (2014) would have never happened.....Putin knew Obama was weak as **** when there was no retaliation for the Benghazi deaths.
Most probably true. But I'm pretty sure Crimea is not included in the current negotiations. But then since we don't know for sure WHAT is included in the current negotiations--neither Putin nor Trump are talking--we will just have to wait to see how it all plays out.

I trust Trump to do his very best to broker the best possible deal that can be made to end this terrible, deadly war.

It was interesting that both Putin and Trump agreed they want the killing to stop.

And I could claim you having all those expensive electronics in my neighborhood was a security issue because you might attract thieves so I took them.
Congratulations. So far the most non sequitur post of the day. And here at USMB that's saying something.

Of course Putin agreed. Abusers always blame the victim, i.e. look what you made me do.
True just look at some of the things Ashley Biden has said publicly

Literally every source that isn't a known RWNJ propaganda outlet.
Okay since you have nothing to offer in a discussion of the thread topic other than trolling, I will be exercising my New Year's Resolution. Do have a lovely day.

They just posted video of the negotiations.

All I did was apply your "logic" to a different situation to show you how silly it is.

False no progress was msde
Rocko, you're just another nut case that will never give Trump any praise. "FALSE NO PROGRESS WAS MADE" How in the hell do you know? Were you at the door listening? Were you an invited guest, taking a seat at the table? You were not so just stick your TDS in your ear.

Putin was extremely soft spoken during the press conference and President Trump uncharacteristically kept it short--roughly three minutes--and took no questions which was really unusual for him.
Trump knew that most questions would be inappropriate or insensitive.

If progress was made we would know it. You can’t trust Trump to tell you what’s true. The guy lies about everything, so I’m supposed to believe him now? No thanks.

Just can’t stop protecting Trump, can you. That’s called enabling and it’s why Trump and Epstein got away with things for so long.

Yes. And he did not want to jeopardize whatever agreements they were able to achieve. He has always been smart about not telling the press too much. He is brilliant in triggering the press to get it to speculate foolishly and wind up with egg on its face though. :) (This just wasn't a time to do that.)

15th post
No link. I did watch the video. I'm just a bit suspicious I guess since so much stuff like that is rigged for those videos. None of the news accounts I've read mentioned a flyover for instance.
The video is the "link" I was referring to.
That MSM "news" outlets are silent about it is no surprise.
I typically don't post garbage videos.
It happened, and the timing was glorious.

Trump has nothing to do with Ashley Biden, stop deflecting

I dont see why ukraine would have to give up much more than agreeing to stop the war. Its akin to someo e breaking into your house, stealing everything, and you agree to let them keep some of it?
You’re referring to Israel right?

So some progress was made in yesterday's Summit between Trump and Putin. But as President Trump put it, there is no deal until there's a deal. And so far, they're closer to a deal but no deal.

President Trump again asserted there would have been no invasion if he had been President. It was Biden's weakness that triggered it. Amazingly, Putin agreed with that in the press conference.

The next step is for President Trump to reach out to Zelensky, NATO et al. He expressed and Putin agreed that they were agreeing on most points, but there were still some sticking points that needed to be resolved. And those will have to be resolved with those others.

Perhaps in a carrot and stick move, the two talked about economic concerns for both countries. Certainly a deal will include trade deals once a deal is made.

The meeting was amicable as it had to be in order for any progress to be made. Trump acknowledged that he would get some blow back--can we say a total leftist meldown?--when the next meeting between the two will be in Moscow.

Putin was extremely soft spoken during the press conference and President Trump uncharacteristically kept it short--roughly three minutes--and took no questions which was really unusual for him. Obviously the negotiations are at an extremely sensitive and fragile stage and both are playing the cards close to their chests until they can move to the next steps in the process.

There was never going to be a deal with only Trump & Putin at the AK confab...All the moonbat bloviating about "failure" of that meeting is only so much hot air.
