I always find this argument kind of silly. The only reason why "women's athletics" exists is because you have this silliness called Title IX that mandates schools set aside money for it, even though it's a money loser.

I've always felt Collegiate Athletics was some weird artifact from an earlier time when Colleges were only for rich people.
