Revealed: How Trump Could Be President Until 2037

Trump could very well have a third term. It would be constitutional, according to legal minds. Just think, He could fundamentally change America.

It is noon in Washington on Saturday, January 20, 2029. Inauguration Day. A bearded man steps forward in front of the US Capitol and raises his right hand, placing his left on the Bible.

'I, James David Vance, do solemnly swear...'

Moments later, with a knowing smile, the new President of the United States declares: 'I resign.'

His running mate embraces him in a bear hug. The crowd of hundreds of thousands on the National Mall erupts in cheers of 'Trump, Trump, Trump' and 'Four More Years.'

Donald Trump has become President for a third time.

This sounds like a conspiracy theory, or a MAGA flight of fancy. After all, as everyone with a passing knowledge of the Constitution knows, the 22nd Amendment limits presidents to two terms.

But could a scenario where Trump remains in the White House beyond that really happen? The surprising answer from experts is - yes.

In fact, the path for Trump to serve a third term - and potentially a fourth until January 2037 when he would be aged 90 - is not only possible, it is simple, thanks to a glaring loophole in the amendment.

NO.

I do NOT think this is going to happen.

But in the interest of both entertaining a truly possible hypothetical, and triggering the Left, I think we all owe it at least some genuine contemplation.

Don't get me wrong.

When JD takes the oath of office, and the miserable howls of dejected Leftists echo throughout the land, I'll be well chuffed.

But this wouldn't be such a bad scenario either. ;)

A clause in the Constitution itself says the Vice President must be qualified to be President. If Trump has served two terms, that means he is no longer eligible. This is black and white.
Sheesh, most liberals on here knows nothing about the constitution, let him have his fun freaking them out!

That's not your call ... it's the Supremes call

Nope, it's in the constitution.

22nd amendment, section 1.

Section 1—No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

Seems pretty clear cut to me.

The real question is the OP needing a towel for all the excessive mental masturbation over Trump?

"Elected" being the key word. :p

But don't worry, I suspect Mr Trump will be tired of being president after this term.

Trump will retire and hand the reins to Trump 2.0. Poor Dems they thought there was only one Trump, we are all Trump you MF'ers!!

RP; U R a master of owning the minds of the statist left! So smooth & nonchalant how you insert the AGITATOR, "...hypothetical, and TRIGGERING THE LEFT,". Already instantly simmering from reading your agitator then U follow up in detail how pres. Trump could seek a 3rd/4th term(s) which launches the statist lefties into an enraged warp 10 full conniption fit. U should have been a profe$$ional promoter with your unique capability of providing Americans comical entertainment by launching the statist left into paranoia saturated speculation/panic!
