If, as atheists claim, atheism is so very "scientific" and "logical" and superior in every imaginable way, then WHY is their retention rate lower than any other groups?
Given atheists' outrageous, overzealous claims, coupled with their claimed "intellectualism," you would expect them to have the highest retention rate.

There is clearly a lesson to be learned here but you can count on atheists not to learn it.

Good job at proving that Hinduism is clearly the OneTrueReligion. Was that your intent?

It's a graphic from 2008, but I can't find how Pew got their data. Since atheism isn't a faith, it's senseless to call it one, which makes the numbers suspect.

Let's see what's happened in the USA since 2008. This is from 2021. "No religion" numbers have gone from 16% to 29%. it certainly doesn't look like those atheists are disappearing.

Yeah, those atheists sure are disappearing. Not.

For good reason, you are on my Ignore List, along with Hollie and other atheists and Leftists who waste entirely too much time and thread space. I clicked the link to show what I was *missing*. It was the usual, of course.

You are a perfect example of Bartolini's Theorem, viz., "It takes an order of magnitude more effort to refute bullshit than was required to state it."

Your first bullshit was:
Good job at proving that Hinduism is clearly the one true relgions. (sic) Was that your intent?

Answer: My intent was stated in the thread title. You atheists constantly put your words in other people's mouths and then proceed from there.

Your second bullshit was:

Answer: Statistics have not changed substantially since 2008, but you people grasp at straws and then put your clever wordplay to work. No matter what source is ever cited or not, you atheists reject and condemn it. That is part of your schtick.

Moreover, the Supreme Court has adjudicated that atheism IS a religion, complete with its own symbols.

Your third bullshit:

Yeah, those atheists sure are disappearing. Not.

The graph you cited does NOT reflect "atheists" which term you used above.
It reflects no religious affiliation. Big difference. Just because they do not cite a particular religious affiliation does not confirm any atheist belief. You would know that if you were well read. Bo Jinn and Vox Day make that point clear in their excellent books.

I suggest Illogical Atheism by Bo Jinn and The Irrational Atheist by Vox Day.
They were previously militant atheists far more so than you are.

The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell is 900 pages of history, science, archaeology, and profoundly compelling evidence with hundreds of quotations by scholars, all footnoted so you can look them up, as you seem so eager to do.

What nonsense. Atheism is not a belief system.

Everyone gets it, you're among those really, really angry hyper-religionists who hate themselves, hate their miserable existence and want to suck others into their vortex of misery.

The retention rate of xtanity is falling fast.

And then there were none....

The religious landscape of the United States continues to change at a rapid clip. In Pew Research Center telephone surveys conducted in 2018 and 2019, 65% of American adults describe themselves as Christians when asked about their religion, down 12 percentage points over the past decade. Meanwhile, the religiously unaffiliated share of the population, consisting of people who describe their religious identity as atheist, agnostic or “nothing in particular,” now stands at 26%, up from 17% in 2009.

You announce that in every one of your saliva-slinging tirades. It's as though I haunt your world... or.... you just have this desperate need for my attention.

In the 1790's, the Jacobins rejected God and embraced rationalism. They killed 250,000 of their fellow Frenchmen with absolute certitude and contempt. Their evil cruelty was far exceeded by Stalin in the Soviet Union and Chairman Mao in Communist China. Atheism is an integral part of all communist states.

"The science to which I pinned my faith is bankrupt. Its counsels, which should have established the millennium, have led directly to the suicide of Europe. I believed them once. In their name I helped to destroy the faith of millions. And now they look at me and witness the great tragedy of an atheist who has lost his faith." - George Bernard Shaw (Too True to Be Good)

I certainly wouldn't presume that christians should be lecturing anyone about a moral compass. The history of Christianism includes some of the most horrible cruelties to humanity. Wars, conquest, enslavement, forced conversion, unspeakable horrors that define its history.

The history of this country is a nightmare of Christianity hatreds and biases. The various sects of Christianism were completely at odds with one another as colonial states. Catholics couldn't live in one state, Quakers were executed if they went to another, Protestants were reviled in still others, and so on. These documents still exist. Anyone can research the laws of the original 13 colonies

“I call Christianity the one great curse, the one great intrinsic depravity, the one great instinct of revenge, for which no means are venomous enough, or secret, subterranean and small enough – I call it the one immortal blemish upon the human race.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche

“Life is meaningful; death is meaningless and religion’s greatest betrayal to the humanity is that it gave a meaning to death, it wrongly made the death as meaningful! Declaring an ultimate ‘end’ as a hopeful ‘exit’ to somewhere is the biggest crime of the religion!”
― Mehmet Murat ildan

“A grim pattern is visible in history: When religion is the ruling force in a society, it produces horror. The stronger the supernatural beliefs, the worse the inhumanity. A culture dominated by intense faith invariably is cruel to people who don't share the faith--and sometimes to many who do.”
― James A. Haught, Holy Horrors: An Illustrated History of Religious Murder and Madness

Is it falling fast? I think fundamentalism, Dominionism, Dispensationism is falling because the teachings of Scofield and Hal Lindsey are false. .. basically absurd. You don't have to park your brain to be a Christian.

“You don't have to park your brain to be a Christian.”

Good point. I think the problem faced by the Chem Engineer types is an all or nothing attitude that literally screams out extremism. There is an element in all religions that sees any opposition to their ideology as an enemy to be reviled.

Chem is effectively anti education.

Understood. I live in your little fascist head rent-free, as does everyone else that you pretend to have on ignore.

Your first bullshit was:

Your point was that "retention rate" was what proved that a belief system is correct.

Since Hindusim has the best retention rate, then by your kook standards, it's the most correct belief system.

Don't blame me for your standards being so stupid.

Answer: Statistics have not changed substantially since 2008,
The non-religious population has gone from 16% up to 29%. That's a large change, and it demonstrates how your premise is laughably wrong.

Moreover, the Supreme Court has adjudicated that atheism IS a religion,
No, they haven't. You're making crap up, like you always do. The Lord of Lies approves of your actions.

(By the way, the moral religious people here wish you'd shut up, given how bad you make them look.)

Anyways, the interesting topic is _why_ you're so enraged by the simple existence of atheists.

My guess is that the slow and steady rise in the percentage of non-religious terrifies you. You've based your life on using religion, gender and race to get special benefits, and you see fairness and rationality as a threat to your subsidy-based lifestyle. Nothing enrages a conservative more than a level playing field, because they know they can't compete.

I suggest Illogical Atheism by Bo Jinn and The Irrational Atheist by Vox Day.
Vox Day (Theodore Beale) is white supremacist filth who has bragged about being a serial rapist. It figures he'd be one of your heroes.

The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell
Is laughable creationist crap. No need to go into it here.

Those stupid enoguh to fall for one conspiracy theory tend to fall for them all. You've fallen for them all.

Words copied by atheists today, thinking they are "rational" and "intellectual" when in fact, they are little Hitlers:

"To put it simply, no Darwin, no Hitler. Hitler tried to speed up evolution, to help it along, and millions suffered and died in unspeakable ways because of it."
- D. James Kennedy

"Nothing will prevent me from eradicating totally, root and branch, all Christianity in Germany." - Adolf Hitler, April 7, 1933

"Christianity is an invention of sick brains. The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death. We commence hostilities against the so-called Ten Commandments: the tablets from Sinai are no longer in force." - Adolf Hitler

“The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity.” – Adolf Hitler”

Sounding exactly like atheists today:

"Science cannot lie, for it’s always striving, according to the momentary state of knowledge, to deduce what is true. When it makes a mistake, it does so in good faith. It’s Christianity that’s the liar. It’s in perpetual conflict with itself." — Adolf Hitler

“The dogma of Christianity gets worn away before the advance of science. Religion will have to make more and more concessions. Gradually the myths crumble.” – Adolf Hitler (Often called a Catholic by atheists)

I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so. — Adolf Hitler

The Government of the Reich, who regard Christianity as the unshakable foundation of the morals and moral code of the nation, attach the greatest value to friendly relations with the Holy See and are endeavouring to develop them. — Adolf Hitler

The National Government will regard it as its first and foremost duty to revive in the nation the spirit of unity and cooperation. It will preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national morality, and the family as the basis of national life. — Adolf Hitler

Not to mention that you have a propensity for prejudice, black and white, either/or thinking, replete with logical fallacies and flat out lies, drawing conclusions from emotional thinking.

Evolution, atheism, science, tennis rackets, medical alert pendants

The crane was invented by Nicholas-Jacques Conte in 1795. The first crane was a big, heavy machine that could only be used to move heavy objects. However, the inventor soon realized that he could use the crane to move people as well. He named the machine the "Crane."

In 1956, an entrepreneurial trucker named Malcolm McLean, seeking a cost-effective alternative to move cargo between New Jersey and Texas loaded 58 trailer bodies onto the World War II vintage tanker, the TS Ideal X, marking the start of what we call "Containerization.

One hundred sixty-one years. That is how slowly science plods along, in “modern” civilization. This mind-numbingly slow process of trial and error, which by the way is how every plant and animal operates in a “self-correcting mechanism,” led Nobel Laureate, Max Planck, to observe, “Science advances one funeral at a time.”

I have a patent pending on the first new way to string tennis rackets since the game was invented in 1873.

My second patent pending is for a medical alert device which makes obsolete the stupid pendant so many seniors wear around their necks like a security blanket. Simplicity overlooked, in tennis, in personal safety.

People are still people and as such will always have fears.

And I don't know why you people include Buddhism in the god worshiping religions

Buddhism has no gods

And your little chart neglects some very important clarifications.

For example I know a guy who says he's Catholic but hasn't been to church or received any of the sacraments in 50 years. Many time religious affiliation is a cultural label where people will say they are of a certain religious flavor but in reality do not practice.
