And what’s the republican plan?Barrycare has been a clusterfuck since before it was launched. Remember the $2 billion Barry spent on a website?
It got ZERO Republican votes, but now the Murder Cult is trying to blame Republicans for their disaster.
Typical.
Where in the Constitution does it give the power to provide healthcare to the federal government? And what’s the republican plan?
No they cannot, which is why we invented Medicare, Medicaid, and the ACA in the first place.
Back in the day when they used leaches as a cure all they didn’t need to bother with any kind of elaborate healthcare for the masses.Where in the Constitution does it give the power to provide healthcare to the federal government?
I accept your admission the feds have no Constitutional authority to "provide" healthcare.Back in the day when they used leaches as a cure all they didn’t need to bother with any kind of elaborate healthcare for the masses.
Like soybean farmers?^ A Dem’s definition of “affordable” is making someone else pay for it.
Thankfully, they do now.I accept your admission the feds have no Constitutional authority to "provide" healthcare.
Link us up to the new Amendment giving them that power.Thankfully, they do now.
Article I, Section 8 – The Taxing & Spending Clause: Congress has the power to tax and spend for the “general Welfare of the United States.”Where in the Constitution does it give the power to provide healthcare to the federal government?
Falls under the heading of General Welfare and Domestic Tranquility.Link us up to the new Amendment giving them that power.
Get rid of insurance. Its healthcare. Insurance is just a hyper crappy way of trying to cover it.
Falls under the heading of General Welfare and Domestic Tranquility.
And you know this because you were there when they were writing it?General Welfare is not Individual Welfare, and there is nothing general about a benefits check addressed to anyone in particular.
You’re not actually upset about my opinion, you’re upset that it came with facts attached.Yes, they can and nothing is stopping them from paying whatever they can afford, for whatever they can afford.
You didn't invent Medicare, Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act, because that was a bunch of political assclowns in Washington DC, pretending the bullshit you are trying to suggest will actually work, when it was for little more than power, and obviously hasn't worked here.
If anyone wants better healthcare option, then they need to petition their State Representatives and neighbors where they can actually have more control over what happens to them.
For you folks in Belgium, our US Constitution doesn't apply to you, you have absolutely no say-so over what anyone here does, and no one is asking you for your irrelevant opinion, much less your stupid claims to shit you never participated in creating, and don't intend to use.
Everything you have posted is nothing more than a self-righteous attempt to infer false altruism, pretending you could somehow be a more caring and good person by figuring out a better way to spend other people's money.
Back in the day when they used leaches as a cure all they didn’t need to bother with any kind of elaborate healthcare for the masses.
We've told them. But liberalism American style truly is a mental disorder that renders them incapable of critical thinking, honesty, or logic and puts them in a constant state of anger, hate and, for many, destructiveness/violence. Most conservatives and even more MAGAs don't succumb to that disorder. That's generally because the OP, and others have fallen victim to a crazy misinterpretation of the 'General Welfare Clause' and cannot understand the difference between a road or a fire department that everyone can use which is 'general' and putting someone's name on a benefits check providing an 'individual' with 'Individual Welfare'.
But you probably know that too, and we still need to tell everyone.
Nope.Article I, Section 8 – The Taxing & Spending Clause: Congress has the power to tax and spend for the “general Welfare of the United States.”
The Constitution gives Congress the power to tax and spend for the general welfare, and the Supreme Court has consistently ruled that healthcare falls squarely within that authority. You don’t need the word “healthcare” written in 1787 for it to be constitutional in 2025.
Nostradumbass doesnt know the constitution.
Biden is proof positive that you and the democrats wouldn't know cognitively compromised if it bit you.Trump is too cognitively impaired to realize he’s sleepy too.
They cannot understand the difference between individual and the general welfare. They have lost their individuality in favor of the collective. We've told them. But liberalism American style truly is a mental disorder that renders them incapable of critical thinking, honesty, or logic and puts them in a constant state of anger, hate and, for many, destructiveness/violence. Most conservatives and even more MAGAs don't succumb to that disorder.
