"Repeal The Second Amendment!"

Gun companies make too much money off it.

It is protected by the huge profits of the A-15, the mods, and ammo sales--the #1 profit center of the guns and ammo industry.

That's what this is about, nothing else.

Your "freedoms" were never jeopardy, and will never be in jeopardy. England is not coming to take back Boston. Jack-booted thugs and Ruby Ridge is mostly mythology, scary stories libertarians tell their children.

The notion that we need to be armed to keep the Government in check is false -- we are the Government. The Government is who? People who live in your town, go to your church, have kids on your little league team... they are not your enemy. They are you (us). Both sides, Dems and GOPs engage in this Government as the Other thinking for political posturing. Government workers go home, cook dinner, watch TV. They don't sit around thinking about how to take away your Freedoms. The NRA does however sit around thinking of ways to make you think the Government may one day come after your "freedoms"...

A consumer consumption driven world power is not going to saw off its own legs by engaging in some police state "gun grab" -- that's ******* idiotic. But making people think that some day the big bad Gov will knock on their door and take away their "freedoms"... Believe me, they want you free to buy, buy, buy... bigger clips mean you must buy and consume more ammo... $$$$$$

The 2nd Amendment is as obsolete as the 3rd. (do you even know what that is).

But the 2nd Amendment is never going away because the guns and ammo industry will never allow that. If people realized they only need guns for hunting and home defense -- sales would dip, gun corps stocks would go down, and people would spend their money on stuff they actually need...
you should actually look at statistics before you post.

What a silly, childish response. Do you deny the Founders considered certain rights as inalienable and God-given as part of the founding philosophy?

That was nothing more than invoking a supernatural justification for having a government that would protect certain rights...

...rights whose existence would be decided by Men, not God,

What a silly, childish response. Your history is quite thin.

You have the list of rights that God gave us? And proof he gave them to us?

They are not rights "given". They are inherent rights. The right to fight for my life if I'm being attacked isn't something that I need YOU to be okay with. I will fight for my life whether you approve of my methods or not. THAT is the idea behind the 2nd amendment. You don't get a say in how I defend my life or property. That is up to me and me alone.

That's sheer nonsense.

First of all, according to the Declaration of Independence, the rights aren't 'inherent', they were GIVEN by God,

aka 'endowed by our Creator'.

If you believe God GAVE you your rights, then presumably you accept that God could take them away.

Just another way of looking at "inherent" rights, rights that are our natural human rights.

Just outlaw bullet, there’s no Constitutional protection for bullets, as bullets as we know them didn’t exist back then, so the FFs couldn’t have protected them.

The Supreme Court has already ruled actions that hinder the ability to exercise a Constitutionally protected right are also Unconstitutional ...

.
The FFs didn't intend to protect self-propelled bullet, just musket balls and black powder. Go for it.
again, you're wrong. Thomas Jefferson had a gun that was multiple shot. you don't know what you talk about.

Thomas Jefferson’s “Assault Rifle” - The Girardoni Air Rifle
"The Girardoni air rifle was 22-shot, magazine-fed, nearly silent .46 caliber repeating rifle adopted in 1780 by the Austrian Army. Thomas Jefferson purchased two of these rifles, which he sent west with Lewis and Clark."
Which proves my point. Thanks for clearing that up.

Sorry if some crazy dude freaks and shoots up a school and ABUSES one of his rights, but that has NOTHING to do with me. I've never harmed another person. I can keep my gun rights.

It will ultimately be decided at the ballot box.

The direction of public sentiment right now is pretty clear.
.

The 2nd amendment will live, it damn near takes an act of god to change. Some controls will be enacted relating to mental health issues and age, but most people deemed sane and old enough will always be able to purchase a gun.

I included age because there are now rumblings in Florida to raise the age for rifles, but I will go back to when I was 18 and argue if I am old enough to go to war I am old enough to drink alcohol. I know it's not the same but the theory is still there and if I was going to war at 18 I'd certainly want to be able to purchase a gun. Maybe we just give shrinks more patients and do a complete mental exam before you can purchase. No one knows the answer's but for the 2nd amendment it will remain unchanged.
the ultimate goal of the progressives is to get rid of the second and tenth amendment, They will not except anything less.

I don't think so I now many that have several guns and wants their right to purchase. I think you read too many right wing news propaganda. Yes, there is the fringe but if I had to bet my life I'd say the majority are on the 2nd amendments side.
There is no such thing as a progressive that is in favor of the second amendment and the 10th amendment for that matter.
They will not be satisfied until all freedom and individuality is put in an Orwellian state...

Stop continuing to make a fool of yourself; you finished that job long ago.
The truth hurts?
You obviously want to repeal the second amendment…

isn't that inherent? I mean it means we are born with it.

I'm sure the leftists are totally looking forward to the day when only the criminals and the RACIST COPS have guns. Lol. What a BRILLIANT idea. :eusa_eh:

We appear to actually be moving towards a tipping point here. Maybe we really have finally had enough.

If conservatives continue to play this libertarian all-or-nothing game, I suspect they're going to regret it.

What "all or nothing"

All the compromise so far has been done on or forced on 2nd amendment people.

I'd say the opposite on the 10th.
Most states have no desire for any more frivolous gun laws, getting rid of the 10th amendment will let the federal government force their will on to those states.

Repeal the Second Amendment, and replace it work something work-able for both sides of the Gun-Control argument.

The Constitution is a living, breathing document, so to speak.

When conditions change - when the needs of the Nation change - the Constitution changes.

Time for the Constitution to change, again.
I know you guys want to get rid of the second and the tenth amendment... good luck. Lol

Trump will most likely be able to nominate two maybe three more justices for the Supreme Court... They will be second amendment enthusiasts.
The tenth is practically gone already. Thank you Abe.

Case in point, just another progressive thinking they know what’s best for the people they disagree with. Control freak Central.
Like I said the goal of progressives is to get rid of the second and 10th amendment, those are the only two things that will stop them from rolling over all of those they disagree with. The fire that keeps progressives going is hate and control…

The FFs didn't intend to protect self-propelled bullet, just musket balls and black powder. Go for it.

It Second Amendment doesn't indicate anything about bullet's, muskets or black powder.
Nothing you can suggest will make it identify something it doesn't.

If you don't like what it does, or doesn't state ... Then you are going to have to change it ...

no doubt, The suspension of habeas corpus was the beginning of the end of the 10th amendment

The framers stated in their own writings that they wanted the American citizens to have as much "fire power" as the state. They didn't trust government entities. They wanted this country to be ruled by the citizens. They did not want the government to have an upper hand over citizens when it comes to fire power. They were against a centralized military, the military was originally supposed to be comprised of just volunteer citizenry using their own weapons.

Yep, The state of the federal government should be an absolute fear of its citizens. Sadly that is not the case…

Why change something that works so well? What's a few mass shootings at schools every now and then between gun lovers?

The federal government quit being the government of the people long ago, Woodrow Wilson made sure of that… Along with Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin Roosevelt
