Rep. Massie Debates Iran War Powers Resolution

Im not TDS but I will bite.
I would love some accountability, but what about all the other presidents? We cant punish them now.
The practice should just be stopped. This has been our foreign policy since WW2. Its BS. Its time to Make America Great Again.
It's funny. Most of the time, you can get them to admit they're doing wrong. But they insist that they get to go last. They want to get their dig in, and THEN limit government power.

And so it goes ...

"make shit up if you want" x2
It literally says that the president can respond to an imminent threat in the Constitution. I dont know why youre claiming that im making shit up.

Who is Massie debating, exactly? Or more importantly, is anyone besides Bernie Sanders and Ro Khanna siding with him?

Massie's fifteen minutes of fame should have long been over by now.

Post it. Lets discuss it.
From Google AI...

The U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 8) grants Congress the sole power to formally declare war, but as Commander in Chief (Article II), the President has the authority to repel sudden attacks and, in practice, respond to immediate, imminent threats without prior congressional approval. This limited, temporary action is legally distinct from initiating war.

So it doesnt say that. Interesting. You lied again.
I do agree that the president needs no declaration if we were attacked.
Imminent? No.
If there was a missile headed its way, sure. 50 years of rhetoric? No.
