Obviously, you've never had a job.
I would get a check for my regular hours. If I worked OT, I would get a seperate check for that. None of it was a part of regular pay.

Problem is you can get into scams that would claim nearly all your hours are “overtime”.
Weird, I always got one check.I would get a check for my regular hours. If I worked OT, I would get a seperate check for that. None of it was a part of regular pay.

40 hours is standard. Anything over that is OT.
Again, there is a difference between hours and rates of pay.
The exemption is on overtime pay, not overtime hours. Overtime pay is the 50% bump to the regular pay rate (or blended rate if the EE works multiple jobs for the same employer).

Correct and you get OT pay. Which is your current rate, plus a half, also known as OT pay, and isn’t taxed that’s to trump40 hours is standard. Anything over that is OT.
Anything over 40 hours is overtime.

You are trying to explain the literal words in a law to someone unwilling to admit they are wrongVery first sentence: "Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), certain employees are guaranteed overtime pay for any hours worked in excess of 40 in a single workweek. "
Which is what I've been saying. Working over 40 hours per week in an FLSA non-exempt position qualifies the individual for overtime pay. Overtime Pay = Regular (or blended) Rate + 50% Overtime.

Is that more the same or less taxes than before?Apparently that was a lie.
If you make 20 an hour work an hour of overtime and get paid time-and-a-half ($30), you pay no tax on the “half”— the $10 but you still get taxed on the $20
Is that more the same or less taxes than before?
No I’m asking if they are no longer taxing the overtime portion of the wages is the person paying nor or less taxes Obviously they are paying less.Same rate (barring tax bracket increases at the end of the year when taxes are filed).
But in general? More.

Yep. For all that pretense about caring about the working class, the lib states are making sure they collect every penny in taxes from the janitors and the waitresses to hand over freebies to the welfare leeches.Of course in BLUE STATES they want all the money

How are they paying more when the overtime portion of their pay is now tax-exempt, when in previous years they had to pay tax on it?Same rate (barring tax bracket increases at the end of the year when taxes are filed).
But in general? More.

The working class is a direct threat to their ideology and system of govt
Let’s be clear it’s why Americans are abandoning the demafacistAnd that’s why the working class is abandoning the Demoncrats.
