I will agree that there is a medical degree is not the same as a degree in general biology. However, biology is a verybroad categorie of science. If you are trying to argue that a medical degree does not fit into the categorie of biology, I would say use that applied math degree and draw a Venn diagram.
Perhaps Rand Paul was trying to be humble instead of bragging about having a medical degree from one of the most prestigious medical universities in the country. Talk about splitting hairs!
