Published 1 day ago Marines say they're being 'crushed' over vaccine refusal: 'A political purge'

These clowns are lucky all they got was a general under honorable.

Actually, there is nothing else they can do with them.

Everybody has the right to refuse medical treatments, that is actually automatic. You can not be ordered to accept any medical treatment.

But refusal can make you unfit for duty and in non-compliance with regulations. And as such, are simply administratively discharged. It is not punitive, but the Reenlistment code will show they are not eligible to rejoin in the future.

I'm relatively certain the Joint Chiefs will give your opinion on "combat readiness" all the consideration it is worth. Then wipe their butts on it.

These clowns are lucky all they got was a general under honorable.
The could, to a man, be spending the rest of their enlistments in the brig.
Im sure your knowledge of combat readiness and a buck-and-a-quarter will get you a cup of coffee.

Your knowledge of how the vaccine is working won't even get you that, because the vaccine doesn't keep troops from getting sick. We currently have a Navy vessel that's not just not combat ready, it's combat ineffective, because the crew is sick and has 100% vaccination. So, stop with the "combat readiness" horseshit.

If the armed forces are going to mandate the vaccine, fine. But, don't lie and say there's a religious exemption when there isn't. Lying to the troops like that is supreme bullshit.

Are vaxxed soldiers, who get sick anyway, unfit for duty? You know the troops are getting sick at a higher rate now than before. Right? Are they going to punish soldiers who get infected next?

You know there are different strains, right? Once again, you just spin in circles.

But yes, any who get sick are unfit for duty until they recover.

Once again, what does all of this have to do with refusing to follow regulations?

I know that the vaccine doesn't keep people from getting infected. You DO know that. Right?

Well my ass is available for kissing whenever you're ready.

I didn't introduce "combat readiness" AND I never claimed any expertise on the subject.

When these people joined they were vaccinated for a plethora of diseases. So any argument about "religious exemptions" was lost their first day of boot camp.

OBVIOUSLY I know more on that than you or you'd have left that argument in your ass where it belongs.

Then, the DOD shouldn't lie to the troops about the existence of a religious exemption.

I know that the vaccine doesn't keep people from getting infected. You DO know that. Right?

I do know that you really do not want to discuss the actual issue.

I could not care less to be honest if they were ordered to take sugar pill placebos. If they refuse to take them then out they go.

But to you that does not matter, it is all some kind of stupid political agenda. And I could not care less about your crazy political agenda.

And yes, I am aware of that. Nothing prevents you from becoming infected. Not the small pox vaccine, not measles vaccines, none of them. That is not how they work. Just the fact that you keep saying this over and over again just shows your ignorance of how they work.

Then, the DOD shouldn't lie to the troops about the existence of a religious exemption.

And the troops should not like about the need for one.

Here is how it works, once again. I can't believe how often we have to tell you this simple fact.

Yes, there are many religious exemptions. However, the main thing is that they have to actually be from a religion that has a track record of such beliefs. Name me a single mainstream religion that has a history of prohibiting vaccines that allows its members to join the military in the first place.

And if it a request for an exemption for a great many things, it is going to be automatically denied. Join a religion that does not allow you to fly? Well, does not matter if you have a religious exemption or not, you can no longer perform your duties so you get separated out. A Sailor or Marine that thinks that boats are evil? Guess what, same thing.

An exemption does not release you from military obligations and duties, most times it simply gives you an out so back to being a civilian you go.

You really do not know how all of this works, do you?

Just like those that stupidly keep bringing up exemptions and conscientious objectors. All that exemption does is let them continue to be a civilian during a time of draft.

This is a regulation, not an order. Regulations get sidestepped sometimes, except by those who follow blindly and don't have the balls to question the validity and lawfulness of orders and regulations.

I know exactly how it works. One thing that doesn't happen is a religious test.

There's a Federal judge that agrees with a religious exemption.

Which is your entire issue here. It is entirely political, and has nothing to do with the military itself.

Unless you are simply another of those that blindly hates the military on GP.

First of all, that entire article is BS. Come on, the New York Post? That is only good if you run out of toilet paper and do not mind a black ass from the ink.

And once again, they are not being punished. That involved some kind of legal action in violation of the UCMJ. Nobody is threatening them with a Court Martial, that would be punishment. They are in the process of administrative separation.

You really do not know how this military thing works, do you? And when that stay is lifted by the appeals court or SCOTUS, then what? Oh, I bet you will just continue to scream and rant and rave, because to you it is all political and has nothing to do with facts at all.

It's not a lie. If someone is able to prove the religious claim, the exemption is available. But finding your truth right after Trump loses is not a true religion, it's just GQP beliefs.

My feelings are that people in the military, LE, medical services who refuse vaccination SHOULD be removed. They pose a true threat to their peers and patients. As for everyone else?

I encourage as many as possible to refuse vaccination. Those not actually concerned with safety or religion are being stupid and I'm a big fan of Darwin.

If the exemption is unattainable, it's absolutely a lie.

They don't pose a threat to anyone, because the vaccine doesn't keep anyone from becoming infected.

Here's a more leftist friendly source.

Here's a more leftist friendly source.

And it still does nothing to discredit what I had already said.

One thing that has been shown over and over again. When you join the military, you get an entirely different set of laws and rules that you have to follow.

A civilian goes up to his boss and calls him an idiot, the worse that can happen is he gets fired. That's it, just fired. Do that in the military, you can get some nice time in the brig and a bad conduct discharge.

As a civilian you want to post all kinds of things about the President, that is your right. You can actually do the same thing as a member of the military, so long as you do not actually identify yourself as a member of the military, and endorse sedition or illegal acts.

Do not want to get a vaccination as a civilian, once again the worst they can do is fire you. Interestingly enough, the same thing in the military. You get fired.

But I really do not care about "right" or "left". This is why all you political animals fail against me time and time again. You all are so freaking absorbed in your stupid petty politics, that you miss what should be obvious. And this is why I laugh at all of you political animals. On both sides, right and left alike. All of you that push for political agendas are equally worthless to me.

But, you don't surrender your fundamental rights. Only civilians believe that.

This isn't political to me. It's about right and wrong. The troops have a right to apply for a religious exemption. That's just a fact. You thinking it's all about politics is where you fail.
