Just in general, it's amazing how shortsighted partisans are. They can't seem to get it through their heads that every new power they claim for government, when their stooge is in power, will be available to the "other side" when they're in power.

And the hysterical rhetoric adds another level to this road to ruin. Because every over-the-top claim about one party is used by the other as an excuse to the same, or worse. Even if the claim was purely imaginary to begin. That's really what's driving MAGA. They take in all the ridiculous paranoia and use it as justification for any evil their leaders indulge. After all, leftists want to kill them - so it's just self defense.
