Carville: Democrats Will Win In 2028, Congress Will Increase Supreme Court Justices From 9 to 13

Feel free to find that quote from me. If you have to lie then you have nothing to say.

I don’t make predictions. I only know that popular presidents lose their midterms and unpopular presidents get wiped out.
Like 6 seats in the Senate and 63 seats in the House? LOL

They'd be unpacking the Court.

Turtle man packed the Court during Obama's terms.
Perhaps you might want to look up what it means to "pack the Court"

OK, I'll let you know in June of 2028.

Bob and weave? We all noticed you didnt link a statement where I said we would have no more elections which I take as you agreeing with me that i didnt and you don’t dispute my point that incumbents lose midterms badly. Looks like we are now best friends with how much we agree..

You should probably direct your whine to M14
and you don’t dispute my point that incumbents lose midterms badly.
No, you said "unpopular presidents get wiped out." Just pointing out that your black God suffered the worst midterm blowout in modern history.
Looks like we are now best friends with how much we agree..
If you agree that Obama was the worst thing to ever happen to your party.

When he took office, there were 60 Democratic senators; after 8 years of Obama there were 46. The number of House seats held by Democrats shrunk from 257 to 188. There were nine fewer Democratic governors than in 2009. Democrats held fewer elected offices nationwide at the end of his second term than at any time since the 1920s.

Please read the full post before jumping to an assumption.

I have no problem expanding the SCOTUS from it's current 9 to 13. But, BUT - it should be done for balancing purposes and case loads, not for politics.

#1 The current Circuit Courts of Appeals are rebalanced in terms of geography and case load.

#2 The law should require that all cases accepted by the Supreme Court be heard by a panel of 9 Justices, the panels decision is final. There is no en banc appeal. The Senior Justice on any panel functions as the Chief Justice does now in terms of management of the case and assignment of the decisions primary author. (9 Justice Panel will matter in just a second, see #4.)

#3 The number of Justices will be expanded to 13 in the following manner. Each President elected AFTER the passage of the change gets to nominate 1 and only one Justice to the newly created seat. Each subsequent Presient then nominates 1 new Justice until the total reaches 13. This is seperate from the Presidents normal nominating power to fill vacancies arising through death, retirement, or incompacity. So at a minimum it will take 16 years to effect the final adjustment.

#4 All cases are heard by a 9 Justice Panel chosen at random which becomes effective as soon as the first new justice (10th) is confirmed by the Senate. So when the court has 10 Justices, 9 are chosen at random for a case. One Justice is not involved with the case. Once all 13 Justices are seated each case consists of 9 Justices chosen at random and the 4 Justices are not involed.

#5 Evantually each Justice will be assigned to one of the rebalanced Circuit Courts of Appeals.

Stacking the Supreme Court was an old FDR tactic and it was part of his downfall. Carville predicted a Harris win during a forum at Harvard citing support from Obama and Beyonce. The point is that Carville is a TDS hate monger and his opinion is no more valuable than some guy shopping at Walmart.

CARVILLE: So I want to talk to Chief Justice Roberts, Justice Alito, Justice Barrett, Justice Kavanaugh, Justice Gorsuch. I might be forgetting one. I'm going to tell you what's going to happen.

A Democrat is going to be elected in 2028. You know that, I know that. It's going to be a Democratic House.

It's going to be a Democratic Senate. The Democratic president is going to announce a special transition advisory committee on the reform of the Supreme Court that we could have our third branch of government has lost the faith and trust of the American people. And his president is going to do everything in the law.

He's going to point a blue ribbon, maybe Judge Ludick and the dean of the, you know, just the usual ******* suspects. All right. And they're going to recommend that the number of Supreme Court justices go from nine to 13.

That's going to happen, people. That's going to happen to you. They're going to win.

They're going to do some blue ribbon panel of distinguished jurists. And they are going to recommend 13 and a Democratic Senate and House. They're going to pass it.

And the Democratic president is going to sign it because they have to do an intervention so we can have a Supreme Court that the American people trust again. So just keep that in the back of your mind. And I would bet a lot of money that that's what's going to happen.

LOL....Given his track record of late no matter what it is, if Carville says it, democrats do something else. I guess that's a good thing.

That said, it does speak to one glaring fact.....The dems don't care who they put on the ticket in '28 because they think money and the MSM will make all the difference.

To be honest their best chance would be with Fetterman since his mind was rewired.

It’s amazing how democrats can’t work within the US system to rule. It’s almost like they don’t like this country and must **** it up.
