For example, democrats don't believe that we have natural rights given to us by God because they think that the notion of God is silly, even though that is how the Founding Fathers viewed the matter. The part you're missing is that pro life is NOT control over another person's body. It is appreciating and defending the right to life as an unalienable right guaranteed by our Constitution. It means that nobody, not even a mother or father, can abuse, neglect, endanger or murder their children with impunity. Pro life means that the unborn is a human being the same as the infant the mother holds in her arms and is worthy of the same protections as that infant.

Evenso, just as the federal government leaves it to the states to provide child protective services, it leaves it to the states to decide what laws will regulate abortion. That is definitely a right wing, MAGA concept, not leftist.

Some states have passed laws far too draconian to protect the natural rights of the unborn. These I believe are in error and will eventually amend those laws to something more reasonable. Some states refuse to protect the unborn. Some get it pretty much right.

But that was the purpose of allowing states rights. The federal government has corrupted that purpose, but the states were to have total authority in all regards other than that assigned to the federal government via the Constitution. The Founders essentially saw each state as its own laboratory of ideas, concepts, policy, laws, etc. Mistakes would be made, but one state's error would not affect everybody else. Successes could be emulated by others and that has often been the case.

Eventually, I suspect that the abortion laws will even out and become more uniform just as marriage laws evened out and became very similar in every state at least before the courts started mandating the definition of marriage be changed.

GLOBALLY, not just in CA.

A sane approach would be

1. 2 kids only for child tax credit
2. have a 4th and you start paying taxes for it and every one beyond it
3. pass a law that forbids everyone, INCLUDING religious leaders, from advocating more than 3 kids per couple
4. a woman who has a fourth kid gets her tubes tied after the 4th


But as Bill Gates and WEF realized years ago, we will never get a sane response on this issue from religion, because all relgious leaders care about is increasing the number of moron "followers," especially those who suck in math and science, the way Huck wants 'em...
