There is nothing wrong with the teachers. A fish rots from the head down. Teachers have had too much dumped on them, they hardly have time to teach. They can't discipline yet they are expected to be disciplinarians, they can't get rid of kids that disrupt and don't want to be there. They cannot depend on the administration backing them up regardless of whether their decisions are right or wrong.

Further, without competition, more and more people are opting for private schools, as they should. They should get more competition by allowing vouchers for the parents of failing schools.

National Education Association General Counsel Bob Chanin stated in July 2009.

Chanin: "It is not because we care about children. And it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child. NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power. And we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues...."

I can handle my student load. Is 44 students in one class acceptable? How about 35?
It is tougher with 35+
There are so MANY that want to learn, and wish the others would STFU.

If I send a kid out of class, I have to do massive paperwork. I know. It's my problem.
I would rather just teach the kid how to be 'civil'
