Seems to me that if Afghanistan was able to stand up and defeat Russia, Ukraine ought to be able to do it to. No more money or weapons to Ukraine.

After 10 years, Russia finally gave up on Afghanistan, which is 10x less valuable to Putin than Ukraine. Putin really really wants to convert Ukraine into a Russian state, and will prolong his criminal war for 20 years if he has to, or until he dies. Trump seems ok with Putin's terrorist war, and even seems to respect Putin for trying to make Russia "greater" (evil), like forcing Canada & Greenland to be a part of USA. Both are pig heads.

If the US was concerned about Russia's imperialistic moves in Ukraine, they should have been more forceful when Obama virtually ignored Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014. This will end with Russia controlling Donbas and Crimea and Ukraine escaping with the remainder of their country. As far as I'm concerned, I've seen enough of Zelensky's extortion of the US. The Biden regime is no longer relevant and he has nothing on Trump. This is not an American war and no American taxpayer $$$, military materiel or expertise should be expended on it. If they want to pay for equipment, fine. I'm tired of my money going to these tin horn dictators.

What "option"? Where's the DETAIL for getting both countries to observe peace?
There would be instant peace in Ukraine (& Russia) if Putin SIMPLY gets his soldiers to go back to Russia where they belong.

The original detail was a simple agreement not to join NATO. That would have prevented the invasion in the first place. Of course now that the war is 3 years in and both sides have sacrificed 200,000 soldiers a piece of better it's very difficult to find a plan that will satisfy the anger of both sides.

One thing that's not helping is the constant interference of other nations who can't seem to make any real commitments themselves.
